Just watched Tuesday's episode... what a hot ass mess!

So, Hope decides to just cancel a whole friggin line and doesn't even tell anyone?

She's holding a press conference and Ridge, Brooke, Stephanie and Eric are all like "oh, how exciting, do surprise us with whatever announcement you have!"?

She goes in front of the press without even a prepared statement, ending up stuttering throughout it?

Jerrod is such a concerned, worried journalist who wants to ask a tough question with as much finesse as possible?

Hope doesn't even have a plan to announce to the press for the future, a question she was sure to get?

Rick just announces Thomas' new job?

And then they kiss in front of the press and Thomas' girlfriend?

Not to mention the whole thing with Steffy and Katie.

Surprisingly, the only thing I loved is what an !@#$%^&*] Bill is to Liam. You don't get such character-specific writing often in daytime anymore.

Bill invites Steffy, the woman he cheated on his wife with to dinner and proceeds to prop her up at the table and all Katie can do is smile. Seriously WTF?

Oh and this is NOT cute

Liam and Hope are both incredibly immature.Really, if one had to say the biggest problem these two have had since they got together, it would be lack of communication. Almost ALL their problems stem from the fact that neither is upfront and honest and they could have avoided alot of issues if they were more straightforward with the other.

1. Hope dumps Liam again after she gets false text messages from Tawny. He decides to sleep with Amber bc he and Hope never talked face to face abut those alleged text messages

2. Hope ends her engagement with Liam and gives back the ring after seeing a kiss without ever discussing it with him. She does this over the phone and refuses to talk to him when he questions her.

3. Liam proposes to Steffy 5 minutes later and within 2 days he marries her without ever talking to Hope abou what just happened.

4. In Italy, Liam finds a letter in the hotel that he assumed Hope wrote to him (she didnt) and he then makes plans to leave with Steffy having never talked to Hope or ask her about the letter first

5. Hope cancels their dinner bc wanted to stand by a sick Stephanie. Liam just assumes she is blowing him off again so he decides to spend this night before his wedding with his ex wife, Steffy

6. Rick manipulates things to make it seem like Liam cheated on her, and Hope beleives him. When Liam confonrs her and asks her why she thinks more happened than it did, she refuses to tell him what she was told and keeps it to herself.

Im sure there is more but thats what pops out to me. Both are too immature and childish for a real relationship bc they keep playing silly games and DONT SPEAK UP when they need to. Seriously, why is it so hard to just be straightforward with whats on your mind?

I think the reason why I think I can't stand Steffy is because no one checks her. She just gets away with everything even though she slept with Bill and positioned herself between Liam and Hope. Why is no one angry at her? Or call her out more. It's just unacceptable that Katie would just sit there and smile happily with her husbands mistress without wanting to smash her face threw the glass table. Why does no one see her as the tramp that she is? Why is everyone so nice to her? Why is no one angry with her? The way the world responds to her makes no sense to me.

I think IMO they've done a decent job with both Hope and Steffy giving both of them more layers than they've had yet neither have lost their core qualities. I do agree with you about Steffy. When she was pulling her crap with Bill and Liam no one called her out or fAulted her. But they've altered the writing for Steffy softening her. I'm still not a fan but I think shes a lot more well rounded than she was.

The sad part is that the best and most interesting relationship on this show outside of Stephanie and Brooke is the one between Hope and Steffy who have gone from pseudo siblings, to enemies, to respectful adversaries. I can't say I cars much about who gets Liam. He's really a non entity at this point.

Steffy has never had sex with Bill

As for how people react to her, the Logans dislike her and do get angry with her. Brooke constantly keeps lashing at her in her offoice and did so again a week or two ago. She and Hope are always fighting. Katie badmouthsher. Steffy's family supports her, but the people that shouldnt like her, dont

    • Right. Literally for decades, soaps mesmerized their audiences with tales of romance, family conflict, class struggles, and recognizable interpersonal-relationship sagas. We didn't need relentless, heavy violence. We didn't need clones, mad scientists, extra-terrestrials and demon possessions. We didn't need gaggles of plastic himbos and bimbos pushing beloved vets off-screen. We only needed to see people whom we cared about, and the intelligent, moving progression of their lives. Flashy sets, gaudy gimmicks, and high-falutin' hairdos be damned. The characters and the words were important.
    • Absolutely! Brad should've simply moved on from Lunacy. There's no point of freeing her, if you're not going to at least make an attempt at redemption or incorporating her into the fold. It happened with Quinn, who committed quite a few felonies before become the Forrester Matriarch.  Heck, keep Lunacy in prison and have Poppy/Finn discover that she gave birth to twins - 'Sunny' could've come on with a clean slate and still had Sheila/Finn and all the other drama. It certainly couldn't have been worse than what we've witnessed with the destruction of $B.
    • I would enjoy it if Swan popped up on BTG as an old one time friend/mentor of Anita’s for a cameo. This is just

    • I had totally forgotten that Courtney story. I see Burton was already phoning it in by that point.
    • omg I completely missed that, but now when I see it typed here in your post, it's obvious icky cringe. So now I just checked and Tomas said that -- on May 27 that he likes the author Carl Ivati.  He said it with sort of an accent, so I didn't catch the stupid joke or think about the spelling.   I remember when that aired, that I actually said to myself at the time, "I wonder if that's a Latin American author, and I will have to google him later." And now I see your post, and I see. Well that's cringe, and I feel stupid to have fallen for it.

    • There's a lot you don't need if you have the writing.  You don't even need large casts!  You could make do with a cast of 12-18 actors if the writing is there.
    • Thank you. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with sleeping around if your spouse actually knows about it. She’s just a cheating slut.
    • OMG...Robert Mandan! And Donna Mills is a child. I keep hoping for more of early Ross/Vanessa.
    • I get your point, but I also know that if the roles were reversed -- if a man were screwing around on a woman this way -- everyone would be all "All with his head!" When I say Vanessa needs therapy, I'm actually being kind, because I could begin and end with the fact that she's a cheating slut.
