What is the earliest SORAS known?

I don't mind SORASing in the sense of speeding up -- like when a kid is supposed to be 12 in real time, maybe them 16-17. That works fine for me. But it drives me nuts, like others have said, when it's done out of order, or when they SORAS a kid whose birth completely throws off the timeline of another story point in the past. Like it became insane to reference how Sami sold Belle on the black market when Belle was an infant, because Sami was only about 5 years older than her!

Nikki Alamain had a similar jump as E.J. He was a playmate of Shawn-Douglas and a few years later was an adult banging Kate while Belle, Shawn, etc. were still teens.

Abby was de-SORASed at least once. She was born on the show the same year as Brady. I think Stephanie Johnson is one of the few to remain close to her actual age, not counting Carrie (who was SORASed between Christie Clark's stints). Mike Horton keeps getting younger.

And, during one of the period of time Hope was believed to be dead, Bo or someone went to her grave. Her year of birth read 1964 instead of the on-show 1974.

Nicholas ended up DESORASED when he returned for Carly's exit last year

I'm glad they deSORASed Nicholas for this last appearance, only because they seemed to be going out of their way not to deal with him for a while because they clearly didn't know how to reconcile Crystal Chappell's age with having a son who was old enough to have been with Kate years before.

Abigail was 14 in the fall of 2004, and then when they recast Chelsea, they aged them up to 18, but Ashley Benson was still like 15 playing a college student. Then they were magically 21 not long after that. It was really sloppy aging all around. What's annoying is that they deSORASed her when they cast Kate Mansi, but now if Stephanie or Chelsea ever reappear, the ages are all screwed up, because Melanie was supposed to be younger than them and they were supposed to be Abby's age. [My head just exploded.]

Shawn D. was aged pretty well, I thought. He was born in 1987 and made 15-16 in 1999. Then they sped those kids through college too fast, and as much as I liked Brandon Beemer, he looked sort of ridiculous as Kristian Alfonso's son. But Shawn should be 25 this year, and he's probably around 30 in canon, which isn't bad at all.

Ashley Benson is actually only 22 or 23 now! So she was really playing up back then. I don't get why they couldn't have just had Abigail come back as ambiguously post-college age, like Melanie seems to be. She could even have been a grad student, if they wanted her to wind up being Austin's TA.

    • This whole Sonny and Leo story is an example of something where I think the idea was great, but the execution of it poor.  I could totally get into Sonny coming back to town and seeking revenge on Leo for what he did years ago. I was fine with the idea of Sonny being obsessed about it to the point it might start harming his marriage, but one the first major mistakes was when it came down to blowing apart Leo and Craig, they had Sonny go MIA and it was Chad that showed up at the wedding. Should have been Sonny.  Then the current phase, Leo making an enemies list and seeing counter revenge, once again, sounds like a good idea that I'd be interested in seeing, but his revenge against Sonny was both problematic and stupid.  First, while I'm fairly certain no sex actually took place, drugging someone, stripping them naked, then sending pictures to a gossip site, is both assault and revenge porn. Unless you are going to treat it as such and write it in a serious way, those kinds of plots need to be left in the past. They aren't acceptable in 2022.  It's also dumb. What's Leo's aim? Sonny already figured out he was drugged, which I'm sure he'll tell Will, so Will is likely to only believe Leo's story in the Intruder for maybe all of 5 minutes. There's a million other better or interesting things they could have had Leo to do Sonny.
    • Ray Liotta, RIP, They Started on Soaps                 @RealKevinConroy   Starting out in NY in 1981 I was on Another World with Ray for a year. I was 25 playing a 25 yr old detective. He was 26 playing a teenager! He was totally believable. Gone too soon RIP Ray Liotta.
    • I still have that  entire week on useless videotape, starring: Anna Stuart finally back from Hollywood! Derek Dane as the strong man! The House Of Mirrors! And Felicia, sporting the world's  worst hair extensions!
    • Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern of New Zealand, interviewed on Steven Colbert's show.   Interview in three parts. Watch all three parts all the way through.  It is so refreshing to see a sane government.  She talks about gun control, Covid, Ukraine, sustainability, etc.
    • Gosh, that sweet baby boy...all of the episodes surrounding the shooting have been heavy on my mind this week for obvious reasons. Shortly after Parkland, we were given some bullsh!t reactionary directives to "incorporate active shooter safety into lessons," and I just so happened to be teaching a mini-unit on Canadian history so...we might have watched both parts of "Time Stands Still" in my classes that week, complete with us breaking apart all that was wrong with Degrassi's "lockdown," including kids being locked in classrooms while other people just went in and out of the building. Sean and Ellie really were my preferred coupling. Separately, their stories were a bit more mature, then they ended up sharing an apartment as that *whispers* high school couple that lives together. Emma kinda went off the rails for a while, and I always thought she'd be better served ending up with someone who didn't go to Degrassi so that she didn't have to live up to the high standards of the righteous "cause girl" she'd been. I'm ready to start skimming through some episodes to pick up on other regular background music lol There's one little piano piece that would always play at the end of emotionally-charged scenes right before a commercial or freeze frame. It low-key sounds like the hook from Summer Breeze. It looks like they've removed most episodes from YouTube, so I can't find it.
