Watching the Stefano murder mystery going on now

got me remembering all the fun mysteries I have seen on soaps over the years.

Susan Moore was my first

But that was followed up by Beatrice's murder and she I think had the best death scene with the coolest speech of the kind villains don't give anymore, sadly.

FF to 1:40

AMC;s Will Cortlandt was a fun one but the killer's identity was silly

My favorite might be the Zach Grayson murder for the way the killer was revealed. Ruth Warrick just owns the scene as she gives the ridiculous monologue before the killer is revealed.

Thanks so much for the Beatrice clip. i don't know anything about that story - I never knew Beatrice was a vixen type with her cleavage on full display. I love seeing Lila full of fire, before she became a saint. Who was the woman in the red dress?

I've posted the Loving Murders clips a million times already, so won't bother with that again.

Here is a very eerie clip from the Clown Puppet Murder story. You just don't get this type of thing now.

Edge had a heap of whodunits, all well told. One that stands out is 'Who Killed Wade Meecham' because the accused- Winter Austen, actually turned out to be the killer, rather than the usual innocent wrongly accused.

Wow this makes me realize how long it's been since daytime has had a REALLY good whodunnit story. Not these little ones that involve a three-month cast member as the victim and another as the killer. Really the only one I can think of even in the last ten or so years would be the Salem Stalker on Days. That was the only one that really really engaged me and had me guessing and watching on the edge of my seat.

I loved the Michael Cambias murder, but I figured correctly that one of the Kane women would turn out to be the killer.

I really disliked Ciji at first...then towards the end, I started to care, mostly because of her friendship with Laura. So naturally she died immediately after that.

This has so much more stylish direction than I remembered.

Who shot Roger Thorpe instantly comes to mind. It was built up so perfectly as Roger had offended, wronged, and blackmailed almost all of Springfield by that point so everyone could've been a suspect. The dinner scene that goes wrong (and when Roger slapped Alexandra) was just perfection.

Another one that comes to mind was when Mari Jo Mason shot Victor. I remember everyone thought it was Jill when it was Mari Jo, who was obsessed with Jack. So good...

That was a pretty good mystery, wasn't it? Especially because we got to see Richard Bekins (ex-Jamie, ANOTHER WORLD) back on-screen as her ex-husband, Michael (?).
