"Disgusting skeevy pervert"? Unless there's something I'm missing here, how does playing a gutted character translate into being a "disgusting skeevy pervert" in real life?

I think she meant the character.

Yes exactly but I'm pretty sure she knew what I meant.

Are we supposed to laugh at Maxie in prison getting terrorized by those women. I tuned in for fight minutes saw them hold her down and do the clown makeup and tuned right back out.

That wasn't played off for comedy.

Really because the clown makeup looked like it was supposed to be haha funny and people were screen capping and laughing at it

That's Cartini in a nutshell. It's always point-and-laugh time. I assume not all of this is intentional, but even if it isn't, people will just say, "Soapy goodness! Soapy goodness!"

I'm really trying. Really I am. Brandon is kicking ass when you can get past the piss poor camera work. As a whole, GH is just bad! Gonna finish the eppy to see Brandon. I have a few recent eppies on the dvr waiting to be viewed. Ill try to get around to them.

I think we're supposed to be endlessly entertained watching women be degraded and abused. Seriously, sometimes writers need to get into intensive therapy and not involve their viewers in the process. Misogynism is not entertaining.

Then I guess you answered your own question

What a disgusting conversation. It is no wonder daytime is misogynistic. Essentially what is being said is that if a child runs into the street and is killed by a drunk driver it is the mothers fault and solely her fault, the poor drunk driver practically had no choice but to run the kid over.

Luke has said time and time again that he wasn't drunk and that he was not in anyway diminished in capacity that night, the show has gone threw great pains to show that Luke was in the right and everyone else was in the wrong. The show basically has said Lucky and co. were wrong for trying to take him to rehab and give him an intervention that he doesn't have a problem with the booze. Ultimately what happened with Jake was an accident, if people are so willing to forgive Elizabeth for essentially neglect then why is Luke at fault for not being able to react in time to a kid throwing themselves into the street when his mother should have been watching him? No you can't have it both ways, either both are at fault for what happened to Jake or neither are. The show obviously went with neither. Hopefully the Liz fans can put it to rest now and not use it as the fifteenth million excuse/validation for her actions.

it reminds me that just a few years earlier, she left matches around for Cameron to play with and when he ran outside, she let the door lock behind her with Jake alone in the burning house!

I agree with this completely. I can't imagine why anyone could say that Liz isn't a faulty mom. Two of her children almost died because she either didn't teach them not to do basic things like not play with matches and start fires and one of them actually did die because she couldn't be bothered to tell him not to run into the street or look after him and stop him from walking out of the house on her watch. But again it's not her fault. Mothers need a break, and it's too much to ask for them to watch their children apparently.

Today's show:

Heather annoys me.

Why does Olivia all the sudden care about her sister?

There are so many useless characters on this show. Everyone wanted to kill Anthony, it would have been interesting if they did a who did it storyline, instead of just having Johnny kill him.

It's nice that Jason is finally acknowledging that Sam was raped. But of course, it's all about Jason and how horrible it is for him. Meanwhile Heather badgers the rape victim and goads her about the fact that she is caring her rapists child.

So what if they do? Why is it such a personal affront (or "offense" in simple speak) to you that viewers defend Liz? Believe me, nobody cares about you that much to make it personal. No one is saying "Oooh, I hope Liz does something horrible so I can defend her JUST to get back at Skin!" Those of us see Liz's point of view defend her or speak up for her because of just that. We get where she's coming from. Ok, so you don't for whatever reason. Congrats. However, sitting up here, acting as if people have no right to defend a character you hate and they need to stop doing it... or else, by golly, you're going to run into the ground ALL of her sins -- even if it means twisting other people's words, embellishing or flat out denying certain events that happened in the story in order to support your hatred of Liz and silence all of her defenders is a waste of time and bandwith. Nobody's going to stop defending of "excusing" Liz. Not only that, but continuously BASHING her isn't going to make people stop, either. And this is coming from a staunch Carly hater. I'm aware that bitch is here to stay and she has her fans and no amount of my bashing is going to change that nor will it stop them from defending her.
