Kate said NO! She has come out before when Johnny has come onto her and she clearly did not know what the hell was going on. She was repulsed by him and told him to stay the heck way from her. Anything he is doing while she has "checked" out is him using and taking advantage of her. Its worse bc he KNOWS she is mentally ill and not making these decisions free of mind bc of her alter.Theres really little gray area to this. I think its worse than the other two cases you mentioned bc Johnny heard straight from Kate herself how she felt about things and he still went forward with it anyway

he does know that she is mentally ill. She's looney tunes and isnt completely there. That much is a given fact. He saw how terrified and repulsed she was when he came onto her followign her blackout. He should not be sleeping with her period.

That's not really a 'fact' at all. There have been several characters who have pointed out Kate's oddness (Jason, Carly, Olivia, Liz, etc.) there have been several characters who have noticed her odd behavior -- Johnny has as well but there is nothing that shows that he understands her DID illness or what is happening to her. Olivia and Carly have also mentioned Kate's alter ego Connie but they too don't understand the distinction between Kate's former name and her alter/multiple personality. The only one who really knows and understands that she is mentally ill and has DID is Ewan. Her doctor who has advised her to commit herself until she was full control over her renegade alter. Assuming anyone else knows anything of the above at this point in the story is an assumption because we are presuming that the other characters know and understand what is happening with Kate in her mind, because we the audience do. That's not the case, not at all. No one really knows that Kate is ill except Kate/Connie and Ewan.

That being said I think it's interesting that you see this as rape, would you say Nash raped Jessica because he constantly had sex with Tess? Would you consider Antonio a rapist because he didn't get Tess' consent to sleep with her? I think that's a very grey area -- which is why I posted what I originally posted. I definitely think by contrast Teen Jessica and Amnesic Marty were much more easy to judge then this Connie/Kate mess is because at least one of them knows what is happening and is giving consent, which is a lot like the Tess/Jess story with Antonio and Nash.

Johnny knows that there is a dual personality in fact he may be the first who found out because he said something really funny in dialog once re: if he calls Kate will Connie answer how does that work or something like that...

Carly and Olivia have made similar comments in noticing how Kate acts differently at times and asking if that's Connie and if she is showing her true self -- neither of them know that she has DID. They just assume she is a slut or a hypocrite who gives mixed signals, they don't assume she has DID.

Are you really comparing what Johnny knows to Carly and Olivia? Carly and Olivia are not in the know.They've noticed she's acted strange and thats the extent of it. Johnny has interacted with Connie who acts like Kate is a seperate person and Johnny addresses her as such. She hides it with other people but she's herself and has been open with Johnny. He's even talked to Anthony acknowledging she's crazy.

Okay, that's what I wanted to know. I didn't remember a time where Johnny actually interacted with both Kate and Connie at once. I just thought he thought she was faking it, like Olivia did when she confronted Kate for coming on to Ewan.
