I LOVE Crystal Hunt and I thought Stacey really improved towards the end. It was a TERRIBLE, thankless character and I hate how the actors and fans seems so negative towards Crystal. It's not her fault Frons and Calivati were pimping her in such a dreadful, poorly written story with a poorly written character. I loved her on GL and think she can do great things.

I didn't either. I never thought she was the "most hated." On a show that's had Fwhored, BW's cartoon characters, Mitch and Irene (among others in just the recent past), Stacy wasn't that bad. She hasn't been as hated as Natalie or McBain have been IMO. Most of the nastiness directed at CH seemed to come from JPL and FF personally (via gossips on other websites). Because big bad "Stacy" interrupted their fictional "Greatest Twu Wuv Story Of All time!" on a soap opera and that was all CH's fault. unsure.png After sitting through a few Dirty Soap episodes, real-life Pajama Boy and the Flying Middle Finger are actually the antithesis of twu wuv. Fictional Rex/Gigi are beyond annoying.

Probably for flashbacks about her having the plastic surgery to look like Gigi. Wow, dumbest story ever.

I would take Crystal Hunt over JPL and Farah Fath too, if I have to choose. Really, ratings were so low at that time when they were the three worst actors on the show in 2009 and dominating airtime. The acting was even worse than the writing. Though sadly, all three of them are better than Andrew Trischetta, David Gregory, and Bree Williamson, among a few others.

I agree that Crystal improved towards the end, and with Scott Clifton (the only decent actor in the Stacy story). As awful as Stacy was, Crystal wasn't as bad on OLTL as she was on Guiding Light as Lizzie Spaulding.

How could I forget to mention nuJack AT? Thanks for reminding me, Mathewson. blink.png I agree Crystal was better on OLTL than as GL's Lizzie. I liked Hayden Panettiere on both OLTL (Sarah) and GL (Lizzie).

I forgot to add that I wish OLTL had first made room for Dr. Larry to return, before they decided to drown Llanview in a flood of campy villains. Larry was more important to OLTL's successful years than those characters. Rex and Gigi did nothing to deserve more attention and stories than Viki has had in the past year. IMO, those two don't even deserve to still be on the show instead of Kevin, Joey, Dorian, Marty, Cassie, Andrew and Rachel. That Dr. Larry isn't returning (yet a dead character like Stacy had to be brought back because of Rex/Gigi) just boggles the mind.

    • And sadly I think that’s the trivia Both Jeanne Cooper and Eric Braeden went with for years and years. Lol
    • But people were hating so bad on amc and the final year and the ratings sucked. Business wise they made the right call. Oltl who even gained some ratings back and weren’t they higher as GH at one point is a decision and never understood.
    • Ann Williams was the first Maggie Powers on The Doctors but left to have a baby. Maggie was successfully recast so Ann picked up the role of Eunice (Jo's sister on Search for Tomorrow) and played that role for 10 years before being killed of in 1976. That led to her role of Margo on EON.
    • Looking at those totals it seems most contract actors are on a 1 or 2 week average guarantee. I assume contracts are still operating on 13 week cycles so you would have to know the particular actors contract starting date to work out their guarantee. The question remains as to what actors listed as contract are actually recurring? Bryton ?
    • Yep, that scene was at the conclusion of the Derek Thurston vs George Packard storyline, when Kay decided neither of them should run Chancellor.  By the time she put Victor in charge, Victor had been on the show for months & months with his Rolls Royce, his ranch, and Newman Enterprises.  SONY released some Y&R "trivia cards" in the late 1980s, and one of the questions was "who brought Victor Newman to Genoa City?" The answer on the back of the card is "Kay Thurston, to run Chancellor Industries", and it's a wrong answer lol.
    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
