WHats funny about Days is that I never took the show that seriously so I actually enjoyed watching some of those stinker stories yeah even the salem serial killer storyline.

My vote for GH goes to the Luke killing Jake story. Sure there was some good acting (zzzzzzz) but all it became was a huge pity fest for Luke Spencer no consequences.

There was a story on Port Charles which was just wrong on every level. Lucy became irrationally jealous of Eve, since Eve was, at that time, being built up to be PC's super perfect and wonderful heroine. Lucy became so obsessed with this that she drained the gas out of Eve's car, hoping that Eve would look like a bad parental figure to Scott and Lucy's daughter Serena, ie, the car ran out of gas, why didn't Eve think of this happening. Instead, Eve and Serena were in a car crash, and Serena was blinded.

To have a character like Lucy, who was no saint by any means but was by that time a fun and comic character mixed with some dramatic moments, blind her own child, was just heinous writing. It was depressing to see this child go around in dark glasses, and the gift of her transplant, which basically was another character being murdered in the interminable General Homicide story, was yet another bleak note.

A year later, PC wanted to introduce their new uber-villain, DV Bordisso. To do this, they had one of the most disgusting entrances I can recall. Lucy had amnesia, and DV convinced her that she was his wife, and they had sex. This was one of many sick degradations of women on PC at this time (not even getting into the panty-stealing, stalking story with Frank and Karen), and disgusted me enough that I stopped watching for years.

Gonna totally disagree with this one. I think it was good story with great potential, but TPTB chickened out in the end with firing of Amelia Marshall. We got the reveal and Gilly walks out the door never to be seen again, It was a cop out, This was good soap opera. Plus Gilly didn't know Griffin was her father. I wanted to see the fallout. Again, the only bad thing was CBS and P&G not following through.

I didn't think it was good soap opera, mostly because it seemed grafted onto the characters. Vivian throwing herself at Griffin, this instant love between Griffin and Gilly, and the way it was presented, with some kind of weird seaminess, similar to what Y&R did in that disastrous Tyra/Devon story. I felt like we were supposed to gawk at the characters, which wasn't what Gilly had ever been. She was a strong character who had worked her way through hard times. She wasn't a sideshow.

The Starr X'd musical BS on OLTL (or however the f*ck OLTL spelled it) and then they even had the gall to submit it for the emmys and all the usual suspects were outraged when OLTL didn't win the emmy since it's the best soap ever!!!1 ZOMG!

I totally didn't get that from it and it totally cannot be compared to Tyra/Devon, That wasn't even a story. They did it one day and she was out a few weeks later. The GL story was nothing like that. Even if Gilly threw herself at Griffin, because she was a strong character she's not supposed to have flaws?

I dont want to hijack this thread, so I will just agree to disagree on that storyline as being the worst. Especially from GL when they've had a plethora of worse since Gilly left.

I'm really not familiar with EON, but I believe that there was some sci-fi storyline in 1983 that is often considered one of that soap's worst moments.

Lumina and Justine (in that order) were the two worst stories in AW's history.

Some of ATWT's worst had to be the Carly/Rose/Emily spa storyline, the story involving Peter Noone, and anything involving the character of Cecilia. (And this doesn't even count the 1996 storylines.)

Did AMC ever have a worse storyline than Zoe/Zarf?

ATWT:

Bonnie In Scotland

Celia Jumps Out Of The Orange Crate

Teens On The Run

Margo/Doc Reese/Jessica

The Carolyn Crawford Murder Mystery (started off great, went nowhere fast)

Honorable Mention: Audrey Coleman Kills James Stenbeck

Are you sure that came from it? I notice Tea is in there and I dont think she came on the show until after the high school musical story. I know that story hapened after I dropped the show, I think during Higley's run and Tea didnt become a regular and added to the opening till 2009
