OLTL has gone up and down and up and down for some time now, a year or more. The longterm trend is down but I think that it still shows viewers will come back if they have a reason.

Actually, OLTL started its climb last October.

OLTL was averaging 2.3 milion viewers from March-Sept 2010.

Then starting last October, OLTL began to hit 2.4-2.5 million viewers.

OLTL even hit 3 million in dailies during February 2011 sweeps when average spiked to 2.6 million.

The demos fell in March but then bounced right back in April.

OLTL was in fact, gaining viewers prior to the April RH and cancellation announcements.

OLTL lost some viewers in May and June but maintained 2.5 million average.

From July through first week in September OLTL was spiking as high as 2.8 million. OLTL last hit 3 million viewers on 9/7.

It is over the last 5 weeks that OLTL has trended downward in demos and viewership.

What I meant was that last year, or whenever, there was that weird thing where they would gain and lose several hundred thousand viewers from week to week.

All that money spent to bring in all the big stars and so far it's a big bust. Days still has Dena Higley ratngs...1.7s and a 1.6 ouch....

Why did CBS get such a huge bump?? Is it because of JY.....hehe....I didnt see it last week.

I hope this boat trip and who killed Lisa story changes things up at GH.

I expect nothing from Franco (or Jason/Sam). Boring IMO.

If these ratings from the past few weeks don't give GH a wakeup call, nothing will. Time for change, Garin.

CBS always does well on Holiday weeks (Columbus Day) - that's the bump. How about B&B #2 in demo by viewers - yes, it's close, but still.

Women 18-49 Rating

1. Y&R 1.5/10 (+.2/-.1)

2. DAYS 1.0/6 (same/same)

2. B&B 1.0/6 (+.1/same)

2. GH 1.0/6 (+.1/-.3)

2. OLTL 1.0/6 (+.1/same)

This cracks me up. One show at first place then a 4-way tie for second. (Or is it a 4-way tie for "last?") They're all the same. The ratings have essentially become irrelevant.

I'm not too worried about DAYS' ratings. There's little that is happening so it's not surprising the ratings aren't going up. I would be worried if there was exciting stuff and stories hit a climax but yet the ratings fell further. DAYS just needs time to set up the stories so then they're able to do exciting stuff.

Did this story start yet? If not, I gotta spoiler tag it.

Good because the John story is lame and just total FF material. "EJ For Mayor" is also totally idiotic.

If american soaps ever learn writing is more important than returns then they may not all die but I dont see that happening. Plot driven stories will kill em all.

I am not suprised about Days, sorry but i have a feeling this new writting is going to suck. The John story is boring and lame, the Jennifer/Jack/Dan story major lame!

Making Daniel Maggie's son might be the last nail to the coffin for this show.

Sorry..this new writting team sucks and they will not improve with crappy storylines like this.
