They changed Carly so much that even SJB couldn't have pulled it off...I think Tamara can be very good at times, but it's telling that all these clips come from one story at the very end of her run on GH.

She was just so bad that first year, they had to change the character entirely to fit her.

I could honestly see Beth-Ann Bonner playing either role; I'm leaning more towards Greenlee though.

Carly is a dead end character. Looking back I wonder if she always was and SJB just hid it. I've seen Laura Wright give very good performances on her other soaps. I don't watch GH often enough to have a big opinion on her here but I think the nastier parts of Carly's character bring out her bad habits.

The thing is that Carly is not a tentpole/legacy character that can last and last. If the GH folks were smart, they would have written her out when Tamara left. Laura Wright and her chicklet teeth have killed Carly.
