Peter Hansen said in SOD upon the passing of Augusta Dabney, that people would come up to her and ask what her why Lee and Caroline weren't on the show anymore. She said, "Silverman!" (That was right when Fred Silverman became president of ABC.)

Ah, that Silverman! He and his youth-courting. Hope Augusta had a few laughs when he flamed out so spectacularly at NBC.

Don't know how concerned Augusta would be. She would just wait for her next in a long line of soap roles.I think it was OLTL as Helena Ashley.

Pure Soap from December 1994. My first attempt at uploading a DVD copied from a VHS tape. Enjoy!

Emily McLaughlin was such a underrated actress. Those B&W clips are a trip. I wish there was more out there of the show when she was a main focus. Such a sadness in her portrayal.

I miss John Beradino!

Me too. He really brought a lot to the show, his scenes, and the hospital.

Jessie really was a suffering heroine. And from what I have seen and read about the early years, it was a real miss to not pair them. But like life that way too. I remember that GH anniversary special where Ames stated they were the couple that should have been together but never was.
