Variety reported in Jan 65 that John Beradino and Emily McLaughlin had successfully lobbied to receive special billing in the end credits.

Here's a question for Carl and Paul Raven, as well as anyone with knowledge of where to find old articles. A friend of my was telling me he's been trying to find a November 1963 issue of TV/Radio Mirror[or Radio/TV Mirror...whichever it went by that year]. Apparently it has a Who's Who on General Hospital article, and he's been searching E Bay for years. Does anyone know if it is available online anywhere? I went to Internet Archive on Open Library. com, but they only go to June of 63. Can anyone suggest other places to look?

Thanks in advance, it would be great to be able to pass the info along...

Got it!

Thanks for finding that. I thought I posted something like that years ago but if I did I obviously didn't put the right ways to find it in search...maybe I never did post it...

I'm a few days late, but I have to acknowledge this:

Anna's 30th anniversary as a character was on April 10th, 2015. Here are her first scenes in 1985. She first appears at 4:29:

Awesome clip! Love seeing Felicia and Mariah, not to mention Ruby.

I was a kid watching when Sean arrived, was bad news, and had his affair with Monica. I would kind of be okay with him someday being revealed as a bad guy again. I think he worked better as darker than Anna and Robert, and had been made too much a good guy when he left in the 1990's.

Hey guys,

I know that alot of you that post here have a vast knowledge of all things soaps. One long-standing question I've had (almost ten years now) is who did actress Joan Blackman play on General Hospital? I can't find any information on the internet on what character she played and who she had storylines with. What I do know is this:

She was in Blue Hawaii with Elvis Presley.

She played Marian Fowler on Peyton Place in 1965 and 1966.

She appears in a General Hospital cast photo (seen below):

The year of the photo is a bit of a mystery. This one came from DTV Yearbook No. 3 dated 1972.

One last bit of information I could find is from a book called Television Series and Specials Scripts, 1946–1992; A Catalog of the American Radio Archives Collection

So does anyone have any ideas on who Miss Blackman played on GH and the years she was on?

Thanks for any help!

Looking back over the thread I came across this item that suggests that Joan Blackman did originate the role of Mary.

From Daytime TV, February 1972 issue.

Anne Helm is now playing the role of Mary Briggs.

Maybe Joan was only in the role a few weeks?

That seems to make the most sense. Thanks for filling us all in. I went to a local library with an extensive section of books on entertainment, and while Blackman was mentioned in several; of them, I was unable to find anything about her daytime appearance!
