I've never had an issue with Melanie either. Even her marriage was more about Phloe than herself. I find her the right blend of support and firecracker.

IMO all characters should be rotating in and out of lead/supporting. That's why Sami Brady drives me crazy, and why I'm afeared with the return of John and Marlena that they will eat the canvas again. I left because too much attention was being given to them and no one else seemed to lead anything. Without the DH2, other vets were able to step forward and I'm concerned about what will happen to Magic, and to a lesser extend, State. Maggie has naturally taken over the role of Matriarch of this show. Will that be given to Marlena now? Especially since Maggie technically doesn't have any of her descendants on the canvas but Marlena will have almost all of hers.

I know there is a great deal of excitement about the 'Days Reboot', but if this is just the 90's with a different wardrobe, I don't see the point of sticking around.

Even with Sami in the past year its been all about EJ or Rafe. Those two need a break more than anyone. I wonder if when Ali did her last contract she took a cut, because she seems on less/to drive less. Not a bad thing at all, but the fact that more time went to the men her life just makes it seem like shes on more.

That's always the catch-22 of soaps. Even if you aren't the focus, if your partner is, you can't help but be there. And conversely, just because you get a lot of screen time, doesn't mean you necessarily have a story.

Todays show is great so far minus those awful Daniel and Jennifer scenes.

I actually see this a lot in life, but the way its being written.acted is just... funny. and its supposed to be serious, so that makes it funnier. to me anyways.

So today's Sonny/T stuff got me thinking, I wonder why DAYS hasn't had T call Sonny a faggot yet? Most homophobic bullies would be using that slur not "gay boy" and while I don't like the F word being thrown around a lot, I feel it make T's homophobic rants against Sonny more authentic. I'm pretty sure both OLTL and ATWT used it in their stories, so it's weird DAYS hasn't had T use it yet.
