Members kalbir
@JAS0N47 When factoring in the 1980s and 1990s threads, am I correct in that 1977-1995 are complete?
Members will81
I think there were a couple weeks from 1978 missing Same, especially those wretched Watergate pre-emptions, haha

Members watson71
The week of 1/6/75 was the first week Another World aired its hour long episodes. The hourlong AW actually gave Somerset a tiny bump in the ratings. I wonder how many times How to Survive a Marriage aired the week of 1/6/75 since it was cancelled to give AW that extra half hour?
Members JAS0N47
As the chart shows, "How" aired the entire week of 1/6/75. The original "Jeopardy!" (3/30/64-1/3/75), which got an 8.3/24 its final week on the air, was cancelled. "How" had aired 60 episodes in the 330PM time slot that season, finishing with a 6.1/20 average through 1/3/75. "How" took over the "Jeopardy" 130PM time slot with a special hour episode on 1/6/75 (preempting "Days" that day). "How" itself was cancelled on 4/18/75, when "Days" expanded to an hour on 4/21/75. Members watson71
Thanks for the info- NBC probably should have kept Jeopardy and cancelled HTSAM instead.
Members tybuki
Lin Bolen wanted to "freshen up" the game show lineup and bring in younger demos, so to that end, she steadily canceled every game that looked stodgy with "Jeopardy!" being the last casualty. It DID trigger a clause in Merv's contract with NBC in that he was allowed to replace it with another show, which ended up being "Wheel of Fortune".
