Members John
why didnt PP just tell Susan we want to do AMC But It may be later Than January but if we can get it going by spring will u do it? Thats not hard. cause it coulda got stuff going. SL is not dumb and she has said PP is smart so Im sure she would give them a learning Curve. She probably knows what an undertaking this is. SL iMHO just wants to know that PP wants to move forward with AMC at some point.
Members John
Actually more optimistic now that both shows will be fine
Members marceline
Obviously I'm missing something. How would Lucci's statement help PP? To me it makes them look disorganized.
Members Chris B
What I took from Lucci's statement is that she told PP that she'd only do it if they'd commit to airing the show for at least a year. Am I wrong in gathering that? I wonder if *that* is what they didn't want to commit to. I'm sure she had other demands too, but I could see that being a problem for them in case it's a massive flop. Members John
That Susan defintley wants to be part may help PP talk with investors since some may say if u can get Susan we will invest To me the fact they need more investors they dont know if they can commit to AMC so they didnt contact her back but IMHO they should have and just told her they need more money but once they get it they want 2 continue AMC. Im sure Lucci would understand that. She has said PP is smart and knows this is new and that a learning curve is needed here.

Members DaytimeFan
What you are failing to understand is that Susan Lucci's condition was that Prospect Park would have to air the program for a year. Prospect Park's silence on this condition demonstrates that they were not and are not prepared to air the program for a year. And it's not a year NOW or a year in 6 months. They're simply not going to commit to airing the program for a year because then they would owe Susan Lucci monetary compensation in the event that it crashed and burned. Prospect Park is clearly aware of the risks associated with airing this program and it is evident that they are NOT invested in the long term futures of either OLTL or AMC. If they were, a commitment to air AMC for a year would not be an issue. Prospect Park wants to be able to ditch the shows at a moment's notice. I don't fault them for that because they are accountable to their investors and nobody wants to lose money on an investment. However, to depict Prospect Park as a gung-ho organization with AMC's best intentions at heart is an utter fallacy. That is exactly what she has said. Prospect Park won't commit to a year. The only thing the company is committed to is making money. The notion that they are some great white hope for daytime is absolute lunacy. They're a company as ruthless as ABC. Members John
All Im saying is that now that we know pubically that SL will do it if PP can guarantee at least a year maybe that will help in getting investors to make this happen
Members EricMontreal22
It sounds like she wanted a commitment of a year, which frankly makes a lot of sense, I can see people not wanting to sign to have itcanceled six weeks later. Members marceline
Thank you DaytimeFan. That was the impression I got too. They didn't even want to commit for a year. To me that says that all their pretty promises are meaningless.
Members dragonflies
I honestly doubt that will make a difference one way or the other. PP IMO are coming across as incompetent and bit off more than they can chew taking on both shows at the same time. I find them to be as bad if not worse than ABC "Let's blame the fans for our failure" Daytime, because like was mentioned PP has to be the ones making it seem like SL is the reason they're not doing AMC online. I would guess that's where JG is getting this crap from, while I may not like him much I don't believe he just pulled that out of his ass
Members Vee
A company committed to making money?!
Members EricMontreal22
Exactly--and I don't feel it's unrealistic that an actor should ask for that--although of couse I sadly do understand why PP seem uncomfortable with the commitment (to put it mildly). Members DaytimeFan
Exactly. I don't understand why anyone thinks that Prospect Park is some saviour for daytime, it's a business, AMC and OLTL are products to be sold. Prospect Park just happens to be doing an extremely incompetent job at producing, packaging and selling the product.
