Yeah Richards livelihood depends on soaps. I don't think he never wanted the shows to move over.

BUt I am bummed about AMC only because I liked the orignal idea for the ending they talked about

I was thinking about this the other day, what that ending would have been like. Damn I wish somehow we could still get that ending, I know it won't happen, but one can dream LOL

Not surprised at all.

As much as I want to blame PP for the finale, I blame Agnes Nixon. PP could make all the requests they wanted but they had no control over the show at the time. Moreover, the final episodes had already been written and she could have told them there was no time or money (the latter of which was probably true!) for re-writes. They wouldn't have known any better.

I certainly hope that those 5 AMC actors who were reportedly working with PP to make a deal with AFTRA (and, according to SOD a few weeks ago, were disappointed at how low a priority the AFTRA negotiations seemed to be for PP) have stopped their efforts. Let the OLTL actors do the work.

Oh and I can't wait to see what Lindsay "It's happening....and SOON" Hartley says now.

I'm not upset. I said my goodbye in September.

Same here. I feel bad for fans who really wanted it, but I've let go. I can't say I miss it that much.

Didn't Josh film some other scenes we never saw? I think people like Babe, Gillian, Leo would have been alive. Not that I would want a plethera of back from the dead stories but for fans of those people it could have been a satisfying ending.

LOL! I can hear contacts being deleted from cellphones as we speak. *delete* "Prospect who?"

I refuse to get carried away until we know for damn sure, but this is some doo-doo if true. Even if they manage to wrangle up the cast for a 2 hour cliffhanger resolving movie, and subsequent movies a la Dallas, it wouldn't really make up for this... who feels like saying goodbye all over again? And again? And again? Fans have every right to be upset if this is true, a HUGE pick-me-up, and an even huger let-me-down.

If AMC and OLTL are both no go, I wonder if they'll retain FV to oversea their initial plans for new serialized dramas.

Honestly, this piece doesn't seem to be based on much more than guess work. Additionally, Prospect Park confirmed Darnell Williams, so SID and/or SOD still saying only Hartley and Mathison are signed for AMC 2.0 (if it happens, of course ;) ) need to get off their butts and get in touch with the right people and confirm things. You don't know how happy I was that we confirmed Darnell with Prospect Park while everyone else continued basing that report on Lindsay's tweet.

Why did Darnell seem surprised, cause I remember reading he was surprised, cause he didn't know it had been confirmed he had signed

Breaking: David A. Gregory (Ford) will not be joining Prospect Park's #OLTL. (via Gregory's facebook)

Okay now THAT is going to make some people happy.

He just saved OLTL 2.0 a fortune on Nair.

LOL that's all we've been getting anymore, nothing confirmed one way or the other. Someone shouldn't have to say rumor.

Sorry Errol, there's so much that fits with what Richard says, the actors about the AFTRA stuff, and the lack of AMC actors being signed and so on. I think there's alot of truth to it.

and yes I'm skeptical, and I don't give a damn what anyone says about that

Well I think we already knew from the WSJ article that PP was having issues getting funding. So AMC being dropped is not a stretch based on that. I think most of us assumed AMC was a longshot

I remember how quick some were to discount that LOL.

No it's not a stretch at all. I just hope OLTL fans at least get some kind of closure just in case OLTL online doesn't happen

At this point I would keep AMC over OLTL, mostly because I have no idea how to continue OLTL at this point. Of the cast they hired the only ones I can see viable story for are Natalie and Viki, and they are tied down to loser characters. Tea and Blair are both so heavily tied to Todd, and I doubt TSJ or RH will be coming to PP. AMC has less actors signed on but also has more room to grow, and also doesn't have a writer who fetishizes rape.
