OLTL hasn't been the red headed step child in years. AMC became that a few years ago.

Not really....AMC has still been more heavily promoted by ABC and the media.

Oh Lord, do we need to have this debate again?

Wow, that's quite a role for Frank who now gets to work closely with the PP execs. It's obvious the PP execs see more potential in OLTL than AMC. OLTL is slowly getting ready for the new venture, while we still don't know anything about AMC.

Castle, Dancing with the Stars, Hot in Cleveland, talk shows, etc...

I will contend AMC is only promoted more by the media because of Susan Lucci. Her being the emmy loser for years helped propagate Erica Kane as a pop icon. None of that has a thing to do with ABC. I will admit that AMC gets preference over OLTL but Fron's tinkering has hurt that show and his being hands off at OLTL if thats the case has only helped them. Lets be honest though neither OLTL or AMC gets anywhere near the promotion GH gets and look where they are.

Oh I agree with you about GH and Frons. His meddling has put all three ABC soaps in the crapper.

Whatever. Knowing that FV has any say over AMC is enough for me to throw in the towel. Good luck Agnes.

It's like trying to figure out which soap will be canceled next.

We already know the answer to that. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's Katie!

Though re trhe cancelation a part of that is because AMC is going first--I actually think the pros and cons about which is treated better the past few years has been pretty even, IMHO. But feel free to fight about it amongst yourselves :P

I don't quite see that. We know AMC actos have been contacted, AM says they're set to start filming in Nov, we pretty much know LB and probably JHC will be involved in the online version (and Nixon in some state). With OLTL we know FV is onboard, and is heading the whole soap part (which does make some sense as he apparently is the person at ABC who handled budget, etc, the best) , and apparently four actors are, but nothing about writers. And yes there's the rumour AMC is backburnered which could mean many things from "Lucci you better join us our Agnes will cry" to even (though I doubt this) they think it needs less work and attention to get it online.

That sounds defensive, but I think it CAN be read many ways.
