Um, so we have that ever lengthy thread on classic Y&R articles and discussion, I was wondering if we could do one for B&B? I mean the whole show is a hot mess and has been well at least since 2007/2008 and unwatchable but I'd like to think back to when I loved the show 1991ish-2006. A lot of stories liked and/or remember well have now been long forgotten like Ivana's murder and the mystery around it, Macy vs. Karen, Connor(someone mentioned him recently!) Dylan and Michael, CJ/Becky, Sly, Grant. Hell Macy was my favorite character right after Sally of course.

One of my most favorite moments. Written by the talented Patrick Mulcahey. He could write the best Brooke-Taylor dialogue in the more... modern era.

Thank God he didn't learn, because we wouldn't have gotten then iconic Not gonna happen Rick.

That moment was decades of bad acting in the making 😂

In the early years of B&B it was easy to ignore Ronn Moss acting due to Bill Bell writing and having scene partners Susan Flannery and Joanna Johnson to carry him through his scenes. Ronn Moss acting got progressively worse during the 1990s. Then again Bradley writing didn't help matters either.

Caroline becomes such a shrew in the months after finding out about Brooke and Thorne hiding the letter. The actress is still charismatic, but does she ever get the 1987 magic back, or is this the new normal for the character? She of course has a right to be mad, but piling on Brooke - who took her into her home for 3 or 4 months after she was after she was assaulted - and forgiving Thorne right away rings false.

Speaking of the OG quad storyline, the other major plot hole is the Eric/Beth/Stephanie connection. Brooke obsesses over Ridge finding out about the letter, but the thought that Eric leaving Stephanie for her mom never seems to enter her head that this would be a bigger roadblock to getting with Ridge.

As we know, episodes got shorter in the US over the years from 22 minutes in 1987, to just under 20 minutes for the 2004/5 season, and just 19 minutes today.

Can anyone pinpoint when exactly they started adding the two minute bonus scene to episodes for the international market so that the 21-22 minute runtime was maintained? The bonus scene, which Bradley describes as ‘prologue c’ here, is placed 6-7 minutes into each episode (before the first ad break) on international episodes. Given episodes were gradually shortened in the US, it’s hard to know when they started adding the bonus for the rest of the world. It’s a shame they’re not uploading the longer edit to YouTube - some of you guys in the US would never have seen the additional footage.

The first time the episodes got longer were starting with episode 5971 from 2010
According to the german broadcast

Thanks so much @rsclassicfanforever. I think this also coincided with a change in where the first ad break was placed too. Historically the first break was immediately after the opening credits, however it moved to around the 6 minute mark when the bonus scene was introduced.

Hi guys new vault is not working for me :( how about you?

That thread you screenshot from will tell you the vault is occasionally going to be down. It's down for me right now. I'd just come back later.

My machine for whatever reason switched off last night. I switched it back on so it should be online.

I don't think you get enough gratitude! Thank you so much for keeping the vault up and running. This is such an amazing and hard effort, I'm not sure everyone understands that.
