Wow - I apologize for all of my ridiculous postings last night! Someone really needs to take my phone away when I'm drinking; how embarrasing!

I did enjoy the show though :)

No we like drunk posting!

Hey, we know one person saw Burlesque, so that's an important fact.

LOL to you all :)

I don't know what possessed me to watch Burlesque... I never really wanted to. But I did, and I actually sort of liked it. I didn't love it, but I liked it. For some reason, I'm obsessed with Cher's opening song. I can't place my finger exactly on what or why, but I watched that scene in a drunken stupor at least 10 times last night. I'll own that sad fact! :)

R --- what is your opinion of the Kendall/Ricky storyline the last few days? Watching clips, or only reading the threads? I thought the directing was brilliant compared to what we normally see. Not sure who directed yesterday's show, but it was Tessinari-esque.

This episode featured the couples that do nothing for me: Jake/Cara, Marissa/JR and I'm even more bored by the potential triangles. I don't have the mad hate for Marissa/SG that some seem to I just find the character irrelevant and the actress uneven. And I just don't "get" Jake/Cara.

Kendall/Griffin/Ricky was perfectly...typical so I didn't have a real problem with it.

You can always tell when Darnell is doing his last scenes before he gets back on the plane for New York.

I am fascinated by the Jane/Erica stuff. Without cancellation I have no doubt we would've discovered that Jane has a child living in Pine Valley.

Two. I saw it.

(I was alone in the theatre.)

Just reading the threads and spoilers.

Three, but I went with my boyfriend so I wasn't alone in the theater. I actually didn't like the movie, not even for what little camp factor it had.

I re-watched last night because I had so much crap going on during the actual episode.

I agree about the directinf of the yacht scenes. It did feel like Angela's work but it was Michael Pomarico listed as director.

You think the child is alive? I get the feeling there was some sort of tragedy with the child and that's what motivated her to do this. Hmm, this being a soap, I could see the twist of the child she had believed lost not really being lost.

I don't like doppleganger stories but I do like the angle they're playing here. Jane took over Erica's life because she thought it was simple and a gift, and she'll find out that maybe it's just as difficult as the life she ran from. Then what will she do? But I do think it's odd that she wouldn't know there was also a lot of bad stuff too for Erica having followed her enough to take over her life.

I honestly don't know what to think. Who knows what we were going to get vs rewrites. S&K vs Broderick. New time constraints. Without cancellation and if S&K were still writing I think we would've gotten the usual ABC baby rabies. Heck, Maya might've ended up being Jane's kid. I prefer the angle of Jane running away from the pain of her life by disappearing into the fantasy of being Erica Kane. I'm still hopeful that she was recruited by someone because of that. I can't reconcile Jane being so lonely and despondent that she turns herself into Erica with having the kind of money required to do this.

...and of course the drag queens got their hands on it :) :

New character played by Sarah Michelle Gellar. They'd probably get Eden Riegel to play Jane's kid

Ah interesting, he must be new? I don't remember seeing his name in the credits before yesterday's show. He did a great job.

I'm gonna jump in and say that Burlesque is my favorite movie of ALL TIME. Yep, said it!

And as for AMC, I can completely see a change and I'm liking it. I was a devout viewer during McTavish's rein and since then, I have been very off and on (mostly off this year), but the show is clearly back on track now. LOVE the Jane/Erica stuff.

I think seeing his name without the middle initial threw you off  It's Michael V. Pomarico, who's been with AMC for over 20 years.

OH, him! Yes, you're right! :) Now with that V, it makes sense. My bad!

As much as I want Ricky, that scene was bone-chilling!

No man gets up that quickly from a knee to a hard on!

I thought that was a Daytime sanitized mini-fail as they didn't follow through. They played it like she kneed him in the balls and then he backed off like she whispered their safety word.

I cracked up when Jesse busted through the door, I just pictured him chopping waves with a gun in his hand.

Your girl Jane had her face diced in full eye makeup. I like the idea of Maya being her *tragically lost* daughter. Maybe she got pregnant and just ran away... fleeing to Pine Valley, the home of her mom's idol Erica Kane, where she could give herself a fresh new fabulous start (she inherited some of her mom's fantasy world qualities while hit with some pretty harsh realities like teen pregnancy).
