I didn't like David being alive. It made the Revenge bad in my opinion. Other than that, I enjoyed the finale. I do believe the show has jumped the shark a bit. There is a murder almost every episode.

Oh!!! Wouldn't it be fun if Amanda continued to pretend she is Emily in order to figure out what David is up to & who he is as a person now?

I can definitely see him siding with Victoria and helping her out of the mess, completely betraying the daughter who went to hell and back trying to clear his name. Jui-say!

That was a great season premiere. Nothing too crazy happening but it was a really tight episode--the whole hour just flew by!

Jack is now a cop! And his partner is hotasfuck! I am hoping the partner will sex up Nolan asap.

Victoria's shenanigans in the mental asylum were hilarious. And she walked out of there like a boss! LOVED it.

I really like that Emily feels so lost without her persona that she doesn't want to abandon it.

Gideon is yuck.

Such great soapy camp when Emily answers the door and Victoria is there. And David goes for Victoria, who forgives him one second after his resurrection. Yes, baby. I guess she must really love him.

I finally decided to stop trying to catch up with the show and just jump back in, and it looks like this season was the perfect time to do that.

YASSSSSSSSSSSS. That whole scene in the locker room was spectacular.

I'm really digging the vibe of the show, though. They seem to have really embraced the soapiness of it and are going full steam ahead with it. Madeleine Stowe's delivery of just about every single line is GOLDEN. She's really earned her place alongside the great TV bitches.

I'll have more thoughts when I'm able to watch the complete ep.

Yes, the more she messes up, the better.

I believe so, too. They are continuing the story but also sort of rebooting it.

It was insanely hot. It left me all lusty. laugh.png

They've adjusted something and it really works. It's a little less frenetic and I noticed a lot of the scenes were longer than usual. And it felt really well developed and planned. I REALLY hope they keep it up.

And Stowe just doesn't let a single line drop. You're right, she is easily on par with Alexis, Angela, Abby, Amanda, etc. by this point (Hey! They all start with 'A' LOL!).

WHERE THE HELL ARE EVERYONE'S COMMENTS???!!!! Come on, bitches, don't make me talk to myself here!

I THOROUGHLY enjoyed yucky Gideon's takedown. What a decrepit piece ofshit!

Charlotte was so pathetic wanting to kill herself because Yucky Gideon cheated on her. Bitch, please. It was just a convenient excuse to get Hot Cop into Emily's orbit. Speaking of hot cops, those locker room scenes should be mandatory for each episode!

Nolan's hair is horrid. What respectable gay rich bitch would go out like that?

DEAD at David's Knight-Riderish hideout and Victoria using him to make his own daughter pay!

DEADER at Charlotte turning psycho after Emily tells her the truth (a bit anticlimactic, if you ask me) and trying to burn Emily and the Stowaway into nothingness!

    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
