For me, it's an absolute tossup between Carly and Phyllis...Even when they're showing concern for their children it's more about serving themselves...not to mention they're completely unaware how unliked they are.

they are 2 reasons why I dont watch those soaps anymore. Out of the soaps I do watch, Days has the highest percentage of insufferable characters. Dario, Melanie, Gabby, BRADY, and Taylor are among the ones that grate my nerves like none other

Taylor on DAYS. The recast has helped, but the writing and her general behavior are still unbearable. She is an idiot of the highest order.

Charlene, bless her, was so tiny that I'm surprised she was cast in the first place.
And the show seemed to go out of their way to make that obvious instead of shooting scenes in such a way to cover it up.
Maybe even casting someone a little shorter as her love interest.
It makes me think of Joan Crawford who was only 5'3" but came across much taller onscreen due to clever staging.
And yes, Mitch was a dud. Lucy should have married a young businessman with ties to Ewing Oil to keep them in the mix.

That would require being familiar with the history of the show and using it strategically to propel new stories. Something that seemed to be anathema to TIIC.

They should've brought back Morgan as a spoiler for Josh and Reva. Maybe instead of Josh/Olivia because Josh had history with Morgan. Kelly Nelson could return to town as new chief of staff at cedars, have a fling with Reva while Josh is with Morgan.

Haley was on one today and it was freaking hysterical. Loved Bill going off on Tomas as well as I’ll never like the character with AA in the role. And Tomas is not a good guy.
Lynette gave Kat the business and that was highly entertaining as well. Lynette has been an amazing addition to me. I hope she stays.

Now we both have fun about Jacinta often over on GH. Let me poke fun at the robot, my goodman. I said that mostly in jest. The other part of me is working on manifesting. :)

That said...all of the stuff with him, Hayley, and Lynette (and now Kat) does appear to be leading somewhere. And he is slowly, but surely approaching 'knowing too much' (Bill/Dani and the kiss, overhearing Hayley, Hayley/Lynette's closeness) for me to not hope for him dying. I just hope the storyline doesn't abruptly vanish down a hole again. But you are probably right and the show might be a little too wed to the original cast right now.

It goes without saying that I would totally be here for Kay Alden coming in to gas up the stories. Or even bring Guza back. I am feeling it's time to consolidate down these stories.

Shades of 'Matt faked his death' to sum up that gaping plot point.
And Patty is dressed to the nines, groomed. Where is the money coming from?

If they wanted to keep AA for whatever reason, then they should have changed the writing to better suit his 'strengths'. Maybe play up that he is very reserved/emotionless and go from there.Have Kat get frustrated with that and seek out someone more soulful eg Isaiah and reignite Kat v Eva.
