April 27, 201114 yr Member I agree with SoapBoy--and more often than not these "let's recruit a beloved star from the other network" things lately have become utter non events when they join the show. But good for them if they can still get work--I don't think I'd ever watch a soap I hadn't before just cuz of a fave actor, but... Gotta love the fact checking in that article: "consultations with his top daytime executive Steve Kent and Days co-creator/exec producer Ken Corday and Y&R co-creator/exec producer Bill Bell about which actors from the departing ABC shows would strengthen the talent roster on the two soaps" Did they hold a seance to consult with Y&R co-creator Bill Bell? (Yes, I'm sure they meant Jr, but...) Edited April 27, 201114 yr by EricMontreal22

April 27, 201114 yr Member When the AMC and OLTL's cancellations were made official earlier this month, [sony Pictures TV president Steve Mosko] sprung into action, starting consultations with his top daytime executive Steve Kent and Days co-creator/exec producer Ken Corday and Y&R co-creator/exec producer Bill Bell about which actors from the departing ABC shows would strengthen the talent roster on the two soaps. That's right, folks. He consulted a dead man on this idea. ;-P Edited April 27, 201114 yr by Khan
April 27, 201114 yr Member Did they hold a seance to consult with Y&R co-creator Bill Bell? I wish they would hold seances with Papa Bell. Maybe that way, Y&R could get back on-track.

(Yes, I'm sure they meant Jr, but...) While I can't defend that major Bill Bell Sr. error, Bill Bell Jr. is very involved with the soaps these days.
April 27, 201114 yr Member I'm surprised nothing about Budig. I'd think she'd be one of the first they'd want to snap up, Why were they glamoring for her when she wasnt on AMC before only for her to turn them down? Five Words Maura West As Diane Jenkins +! and I will add 5 more words Darius McCrary as Macolm Winters
April 27, 201114 yr Member I hope Debbi Morgan stays far away from Y&R, she's too good of an actress to be thrown into the "black storyline".
