Hrmm. Not sure, but there is no doubt that the Linda Dano story didn't work, IMHO. Sure, Myrtle is beloved, but after her appearance on AMC, there was no real reason for AMC viewers to follow her to OLTL. Sky hadn't been on AMC for a while (and the replacement Sky we had gotten before was fairly well liked, I believe--granted she was the first Sky Iknew well), and I don't even remember if Sky made an appearance on AMC leading up to her moving to OLTL--not that I remember. It seemed like when Angie joined Loving and yet should have spent a few weeks at AMC first to actually get viewers interested in following her to a new show (or in many cases, I suspect, even aware that she WAS going to a different show.) And then of course there just was the execution--maybe all those shows was too much to handle, but it made the AMC/OLTL babyswitch in comparison look like the best soap story of all time.

Robin Christopher didnt appear on AMC before joining OLTL. Her one and only AMC appearance post-leaving AMC in 1991 was after Stuart's funeral. She found out about his death in the newspaper and showed up after the funeral to blast the family for not telling her

I had always hoped that it would've been reveald that Skye was in deed the daughter of Grete/Rae and Adam as a result of tryst, while is married to Skye's adopted mom. Somehow Adam could've coerced Rae into giving him and his wife the child. Skye being around for the end of the show could've had so much possibilities. Just think if Skye stepped into running Chandler Enterprises and her sibling battles with JR. Could have made for some interesting and entertaining viewing.

You gotta love the tabloids! laugh.png This was their cover story back in 2000. The story was actually about Erica's daughter being gay.

Commentary from Liza Huber: "Liza Huber is used to seeing mother Susan Lucci (Erica, ALL MY CHILDREN) in the press. But Huber will never forget the Star headline: "Susan Lucci's Gay Shocker." She chuckles, "It was the funniest thing. My friends were calling me, laughing." Still, Huber loves the storyline of Erica's lesbian daughter. "It's great because that is certainly something people deal with, and it's not addressed that much in daytime television." Huber adores her mom's on-screen daughter. "I have been able to spend some time with Eden [Riegel, Bianca]. She's a great girl. Whenever I'm in New Tork and we're at functions together, we always hang out. She's a really genuine girl. She's always been supportive on my mother, which is nice to see."

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
