You know, I think if FF and JPL really care about their careers, they will go to acting school. They do look cute, I will give them that, but yeah....more schooling.

Considering how much Jamey/DC praised Gigi/Rex, JPL, and Farah for a while, this is amusing. I guess there isn't much reason to praise them now.

See, that's the "fair weathered" reporting you get on DC. I swear, I remember for the longest time Jamey Giddens would praise OLTL and then when the KISH story was dropped and the show had to reshuffle it's actors he disregarded it which I felt agrivated more fans than anything. I never once heard him say, let's wait it out and OLTL will get better again. The show had to rely on its own devices, then ironically rebounded. Then Jamey praised the show like he knew it would get better despite the rough patch. Most of the fans of GH that post on DC are the same way. They hate Guza and then Guza penned this edgy story about baby Jake being killed by a drunken Luke Spencer and they saw this to be a story to which they were accustomed, that didn't involve the mob but members of the Spencer/Webber/Quartermaine families. However, I don't think that story has evolved as well...so I bet they hate Guza again. That's why I like all of you. You stick to your opinions, you're articulate, and you respond to one another and you don't try to say the same effing thing the last ten people just said as if you were reinventing the wheel.

But I thought Farah didn't NEED us to like her. She has plenty of fans who do, and she loves them!

She obviously gets a lot of fan and/or hate mail, but I would bet money that she still reads the message boards too.

It's not the end of the world, true, but for many actors it is tough, as they have kids, and other problems. I think there's a way to be positive without treating the whole thing as no big deal. It just seemed oddly put together, to me. It was all very apathetic until time for the Frons part.

You and I are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. I didn't get anything flippant or apathetic about his comment. He was giving the standard positive comment. The stuff re: Frons was pure suck up which makes sense because one day JPL could be up for a job at ABC and a positive word from Frons could make a difference. Also, it is tough for all the actors with or without children, but most of them are not going to have a public wailing and gnashing of the teeth like some fans seem to be demanding. Most of them hope to work again so they are trying for some dignity and protecting their reputations. There are only so many Charlie Sheens in this world.

Is FF still waving her middle finger at us?

Okay, what is the story behind Farah and the middle finger?

Okay, what is the story behind Farah and the middle finger?

Last year people here and at TWoP were criticizing her acting and her hair, and she posted a myspace status saying "HOLDING UP MY MIDDLE FINGER TO ALL THE POSTERS AT SON AND TWOP!!!!!"

Okay, what is the story behind Farah and the middle finger?

Long story.

In March last year, Farah posted on her Myspace account (yep, Myspace) that she has her middle finger up to everyone on SON and TWOP. She said "Quit talking [!@#$%^&*] about me for one goddamn minute". Then, she posted - "Farah Fath understands she's in the field of scrutiny. But doesn't understand how she can be scrutinized for standing up for herself. So sue me". And then she made this ridiculous attempt at an apology, and she called everyone on SON and TWOP "somewhat pathetic". She also claimed that she would never read the message boards again.

I haven't even gone back to any of it and it's been over a year, yet I still remember it so well. She's just hilariously inept with online fans.

Robin is an amazing actress, but she also comes across as a shrew and a diva onscreen. So much that what we hear about her offscreen doesn't surprise me. Some of the stuff that she's said on her own hotline is just disgusting. In many ways, Robin seems almost exactly like Dorian. Dorian is a legacy character, but she comes across to me as extremely entitled and obnoxious.

Now hold on there  ... like what!? She is as she always says "nakedly psychological" and she has annoyed me a couple of times but I would never go that far. She does have a rep for being a prickly perfectionist which she's mentioned. There's nothing wrong with being a perfectionist and if people are clowning around or not stepping up I think she has a right to be upset, but indeed, she needs to watch how she comes out of her face at people.

The most "terrible" thing she ever said that actually made me bust a gut was about the little boy who used to play Jack. On his first day he wasn't memorized and fumbling over his lines. When he was done, I guess his mother told him to go around and give everyone a hug. When he got to Robin she said, "No, I'm not giving you a hug!" (cast and crew within earshot: :o:nbe::blink: ) "Not until you come back prepared! ;) " As rough as that may sound to a child, I get what she was going for and I think he learned a valuable lesson that day. :D

Wasn't it Oprah's decision to pull the plug on her own show?

Or was it Frons' who decided to end Oprah's show.

I can't see Frons telling Oprah that she has to go.

Oprah is syndicated so ABC had no say in when she quit. ABC affiliates are in fact pretty darn upset at her departure. Even with falling ratings no other daytime show can match hers for earning potential with ad buyers.
