There is obviously a lot that we don't know about what happened to Ian in his time away and he doesn't want to talk about it either. I'm sure the show will fill the holes in how he went off the rails from the army to sparkles. Hopefully it makes sense.

Imagine if everyone had a great friend like Vee

The ending was great but I suppose it's asking for too much for Frank to be dead?

I wonder if Sam will become the guardian of the younger kids or maybe Sheila? I guess Frank is sort of an option, but being so sick, not sure how that would work.

I thought it was interesting that a lot of this episode was from Lip's perspective. He got to see how Debbie was on the edge of screwing up her life and Fiona had no idea what was going on. Ian is still under age and Fiona had no idea where he was for weeks. Apparently on drugs. That would be fine, when she was just their sister, but that's not the case anymore. Leaving coke where Liam could get it would have been bad even before she was guardian. I wonder if Lip will quit school because Fiona can't handle it all on her own.

Mike is too damn good for Fiona. He should have forgotten about her but the fact that he responded to Carl's plea shows what a good guy he is

Absolutely no followup to Ian? Lame

I still don't believe that Liam is Frank's son so I liked Sami's reaction to seeing that he was black

I really love Joan Cusack/Sheila - it doesn't matter how irrelevant the character is to the other characters, the show wouldn't feel the same without her so I'm glad she is still there.

The actors playing Fiona and Lip probably gave their best performances yet in this episode. Powerful stuff.

Up until now, I always saw Mike as a generic Ken doll type, but hot dang, he was oozing sex in those scenes.

I don't think there was anything "generic Ken doll type" about Mike. He IS just too good for Fiona and his head case brother.

I just want someone, mainly Veronica to slap some sort of sense into Fiona. I know that Veronica's life and choices aren't always perfect, but Fiona has way too much to lose, with a family that has always depended on her to be there for them.

Her and Mike were never going to make it, but she willing went for his brother. I hated that scene, in which Mike apologized to her about being a guy who cares about his family and her life. He truly cared about her and her family.

While, his brother made sure to be the first one to strike Mike down, in telling him about having sex with her. He used her and she let him use her.

Veronica doesn't even seem to think Fiona did anything wrong. V was at the party too and never questioned the wisdom of doing coke with a 3 year old in the house, never mind just leaving it where he could reach it. I think Kevin and V think the mistake wasn't not watching Liam better, but the underlying dysfunction of the situation is lost on all of these characters.

Lip gets it, but it almost seems unfair that he's the one coming down on Fiona. He has a chance to get out because she took the load off his back, but that doesn't change the fact that he's right.

Plus, it just seems so unfair that she didn't even bring the coke into the house. It feel into her lap at just the wrong time.

So Ian went off the rails because of Mickey? Fair enough but I was hoping for something more, given this is Shameless...

Those Lip and Fiona scenes were intense - I don't get how the emmys etc. can continue to ignore the acting performances on this show.

I just read the intro and first chapter and I'm already hooked. I know she had a co-author, but I can tell Kim is a firecracker and I'd love to have wine with her and talk sh!t haha. It makes reading the book pretty easy and entertaining. Intro - I had no idea she got a DUI! She shared 3 bottles of wine with a friend at dinner one night in LA, got in her car, was pulled over and thrown in jail overnight.  She admitted it wasn't her first time drinking and driving, but learned a valuable lesson that night. Out of the gate, she's not holding back or hiding anything. Chapter 1 - the announcement that GL was being cancelled. She was driving to Peapack and got a call from Bradley Cole who told her the news. First, that's BS that as one of the faces of GL, you hear the big news from a fellow co-star on your way to work. Granted, the "suits" were traveling to Peapack that day to tell the cast and crew, but still, seems icky. Ironically the news came on April Fools Day. Apparently that was the last day the network could decide whether to cancel or renew, but to Kim's point, couldn't they just pick the day before to avoid the callousness of the 'holiday'. Obviously a sad day in GL history. I thought it was funny, she said the one thing she thought of is "what would Susan Lucci do" in this situation, post-cancellation. And of course she said she'd "find something to hawk on the Home Shopping Network"  You all would know better than me, but part of the title of her book is "seven husbands" and in her intro, she uses Reva's full name: Reva Shayne-Lewis-Lewis-Spaulding-Lewis-Winslow-Cooper-Lewis-Lewis-O'Neill.  However, in the first chapter, she said Bradley Cole was "her 8th (or was it 9th?) husband". Well, Kim, that already contradicts the title of your book and your character's name you touted.

    • I was incredibly moved by these scenes, especially Peter's performance. It felt so tender and real, especially when you remember Bo just got out of a years-long coma and wasn't going to be able to put up a front. You're reminded of how long these legends have populated the show when you have a 70 year old man grieving men who were almost 90 or 100, but Bo's response to Victor's death was a poignant reminder of how fresh these wounds are no matter your age. Normally these types of moments don't even make it in soap episodes in recent decades as they are seen as too boring. The more somber moments being balanced by Bo meeting his grandchildren was also lovely.  And the scene where Bo forgave Shawn may be the only time I've been in lock with Brandon Beemer's take on the part.  There's a certain element of suffocation with soaps, as shown here, when you remember so many of the kids are named after long dead relatives, or when they grew up, were paired with the kids of other longtime characters. That aspect always makes me yearn for new blood (new blood that doesn't suck, anyway), but there are other moments, like those with Bo, which make me appreciate all the history the show has.
    • A funny scene, Roger and Sonni go out to eat, at that place that had a colonial theme (I love when soaps have very specific places to eat..I hated the diners on GL, ATWT and AW) and this is just after Rog came back and Sonni hit the headlines and the waitress scremes.."Oh, Roger Thorpe, and YOUR...please dont' hurt me..." and they are all like, "Hey, were just hungry!" (most soaps now have someone go on a murder spree and the rest of the cast and extras look like they havent heard about it."
