That's right. I forgot when their twin labors started. Stretching that long reminds me of Mad Mags' 12 month pregnancy. Wasn't there a dinner party (on DAYS?) that lasted a whole month in real time?

LMAO, such a good point

Marty has completely flipped. I really didn't see her thinking the baby was hers coming.

Somebody on another board made a good point. If they were going to highlight the 1/11/11 stuff, wouldn't it have made sense to make it 1/1/11? That way you'd bypass the whole thing about Natalie and Jessica going into labor on NYE, and not have the problem that apparently they were in labor for 10-11 days?

it doesnt help when they keep referring to New Years Eve as yesterday and last night. These writers cant keep track of days and its been like this for a while. If u want it to be the same day for weeks fine but the use of yesterday, last night, and tomorrow should not be used.

I cant see hwo anyone can argue against Marty's sanity now. The b-tch is crazy. I loved the look on Natalie's face when Marty revealed that she thought the baby was hers.

Priceless!

I loved how when she asked to hold the baby John shielded the baby with his body. It was a good episode for fans of the couple. There have been a lot of good moments and I still enjoyed it even though it's all about to blow up.

I've never had a C-section so please enlighten me. What are the advantages/disadvantages medically of having the woman awake? I wanted the doctor to say "Shut up beyotch. I can either concentrate on trying to save the baby and you or I can give you a running dialog" Jessica was more than annoying in these scenes.

Not certain, but I think it's purely so the mother can be alert for the birth. Hear the baby's first cries, etc.

All is too perfect in "babyville" right now! It's gonna blow and in Mt Vesuvius proportions! And, I can't wait until it blows in Nat's

direction, she's exposed for her lies!

Very true. It's been very perfect. They haven't missed a thing. So the fans have had their good times, and now the people who hate them will get theirs. A little something for everyone.

I was surprised, pleased, and immediately disappointed that they both gave birth to boys. I was fully expecting girls and thought boys was a nice change, especially for Jessica, but then I quickly fast Ford-warded to what we'd be getting in the next couple of years. Well at least they're Buchanans  (I know I know, tell that to Matthew, Kevin, Drew, and Duke, but you know what I mean).

That screencap will never not be funny. I lost it when they cut to Natalie with that today.

And now, reposting myself!

This drama with the women' date=' Jessica included, is classic soap and I like the turn it is taking with Crazy Marty. And I am so excited about Natalie finally having a child, and I did tear up for both her and for Jessica's son, which I need to believe is Brody's because I do love them together despite the huge problems with Jess's character. When Brody was retelling their history, I think you can see there is a love story there, however cynical the writers are because both of them are good people and thus "boring." When the writers are bored or anxious or the network suits are anxious about a character or actor's (*koffkoff*[b']Bree Williamson*koff*) they blame something, anything else and call it boring. But Brody's not boring and the couple's not inherently boring, they're just poorly written and Mark Lawson is one of the finest actors on the show. So yes, I cried for Brody and Jessica and their baby.

I just wish this larger baby story wasn't created simply to service John and steamroll Natalie and Marty. The drama in the lodge proves John is the weakest link. A couple of weeks of smiles and lamaze comedy, however admittedly appealing, does not a fleshed-out character make, because I don't understand how he got there or what he feels. And honestly, the Natalie with a shotgun in her wedding dress was made for Jared or someone new and equally attuned to Natalie, not John. John just brings it down to Lucy and Ricky Ricardo sort of stuff for me.

It was right for the family to be there and for Joey to rush to the hospital. The only things missing were Kevin, Roxy, etc. All that connective tissue plus the high drama with Natalie and Marty is what soaps are about, so seeing it subverted for Ford or John just ruins it for me. Even Kelly and Joey ended up being appealing in that context.

I hope this isn't leading to the end of Susan Haskell's run. Assuming Marty will be drummed out of medicine, I hope they instead turn her character towards using her wealth and power as a weapon to wreak relatively sane havoc on her enemies, starting with Todd.

More importantly, they're also Lords which I love. First family stuff here. I would love for Natalie to use Viki's maiden name for her baby's first name. Lord McBain has a nice ring to it. :P But if he actually is Brody's, Lord Lovett loses something.

I don' think I've ever seen anyone completely out during a c-section (I'm and RN and I worked in obstetrics for a while). The reason a woman is not fully anesthetized is, there is no medical reason for it, plus most mothers want to see their baby the minute it's born.

I have enjoyed and been engrossed by the Who The Daddies story from the very beginning, starting with Nat and Brody having hot drunken monkey sex in May to the deliveries yesterday. I don't care which character is morally superior in this. I'll let other people fight over that. It's one of the stories the show has gotten right. I do not, however, expect it to last much longer. Fall out has never been Carlivati's strong suit. I fully expect this story to lose steam very quickly after the truth comes out and John and Jessica have their respective freak outs. I am sure the babies will go into the closet with all the other little children. Natalie will go to the backburner while John takes up with another story/woman. Jessica will no doubt have some kind of mental issue and take up with another man. Brody will probably go into copper mode. Marty will take a St. Ann's vacay and return to Llanview as if nothing ever happened. Yes, fallout is something Ron Carlivati doesn't ever do justice.

No matter. I have been glued to this story for a good 6 months or so. It has been classic soap. I do not remember the last time OL captured my attention and interest for that long. So kudos to Ron and the writing team.
