April 7Apr 7 Member Them talking about past storylines; Peter Bergman kind of saying Chuck Pratt Jnr had no respect for the daytime to even explore the storyline fully. 🤣 And then Stacy Haiduk mentioned Mr Kitty and how that taxidermy cat cost thousands of dollars.

April 8Apr 8 Member Would anyone know the air dates of Lydia Summers (Phyllis' mom) when she visited Phyllis in 1996, 1997-1998?
April 8Apr 8 Member While re-watching Liz’s July-Aug ’93 return. I realized - she never met her great-grandson Phillip IV! :\What a missed opportunity. I picture Nina would be uncomfortable at first but Liz would win her over with her motherly ways.I can kind of understand why the writers didn’t go there. They’d have to reference that Liz didn’t return for Phillip III’s funeral. And l’il Phillip would have to say something equally cute and awkward like “Does this mean that I have 4 grandmas now??” (Jill, Kay, Flo, Liz)Liz returned for a solid year in ’03-04 but I’m pretty sure Phillip IV was off-screen that entire time.Does anyone recall in 2010, when Liz was stupidly killed off by MAB - was Phillip IV onscreen and did he share a scene with great-grandma Liz?

I don’t think we saw Liz and Nina meet each other onscreen but they definitely were in the same room together for a couple events. Marge’s funeral (when they all thought it was Katherine) in 2008 for example. I definitely think Liz would be very friendly and maternal like towards Nina (much to Jill’s chagrin, lol) No Chance didn’t get a scene with Liz when she died in 2010….John Driscoll would have been playing him then. He didn’t get a scene with his great grandmother or Uncles Snapper and Greg. Edited April 9Apr 9 by YRfan23

Dumb MABYour welcome! yep...dumb MAB! 😒Come to think of it, I think both times Snapper and Greg returned with both sets of actors in 2003 and 2010, they didn't have them meet their nephew Billy. Liz was definitely still around for Billy and Mac's aborted wedding and I think she also got to interact with BM's Billy, but Snapper and Greg never got to interact with their nephew and great nephew....
April 11Apr 11 Member Um, was the late Andrea Evans fired from the role of Patty Williams on Y&R in 1984? Judging from this piece by Jon-Michael Reed as well as this piece by Lynda Hirsch, it doesn't look like Andrea's departure was entirely her decision. In any case, may Andrea Evans rest in peace.

When she left (in the middle of a big story arc), Bill Bell made the decision to recast the part, and Miss Evans got the role. She just wasn't Lilbet Stern by any stretch of the imagination, and once Patty's divorce from Jack Abbott was finalized, the character (and the actress) mercifully got the axe so Bell could concentrate on the characters who were more appealing. Ironically, when you look back at those episodes today, Evans was just fine in the role, IMHO. I think I would've learned to like her. But at the time my friends and I called her "that ole fake Patty".

April 14Apr 14 Member I always thought Andrea Evans was a get given her popularity on One Life to Live. It was Andrea Evans 1985-1990 run on One Life to Live that made her a soap superstar.

For all I know, it might be safe to say that the CBS soap opera Capitol was doomed the moment that Ms. Evans reappeared as Tina Lord on OLTL circa 1985.
