Lol it gets worse. They call Traci a Chubette and apparently the producers had her put weight back on and off and on for storyline purposes. Beth apparently taped her last show May 20, 1987. This article is from May 23, 1987

So we have Quinn Redeker's first airdate, this article is from Wed Jul 1, 1987. So his first airdate was Jul 2, 1987. Interesting they only intended for him to be on for a couple weeks.

Just the way she has been portrayed as coming on the show and leading up to her even now, there should be way more story for her until this day but these writers dont really use her at all and she is beautiful even though she wasnt as slim as the other cast mates but she's unique to the show and needs to be more appreciated as a character.

I like that she hasnt completely phased out she has been on pretty often enough in the last year and a half so atleast hopefully they can explore more of traci for what she has become now.

Terry and Eileen.   They could look more affectionate (and more exasperated) with each other than any two people I've ever seen.

I believe Bill Bell told about all the story he wanted to tell with Traci in her first five years on the show.  He had her shed some of her "chubette" poundage, be praised and appreciated for her singing, marry her big crush (Danny) platonically, spar with a shrew (Lauren), and ultimately land a handsome husband (Brad).  When he'd accomplished all those things, Bell sent her packing back to college to work on her master's degree.  After that, he only seemed interested in using her sporadically or in a recurring capacity when she was needed in the storyline.  And I tend to agree that she works best in that matter.

I've loved the Lauren/Traci talks with them burying the hatchet...and Brad admitting she was the one that got away.

I like when Traci comea back for visits...she's the one that inherited John's wisdom and calmness.  I loved even Victor was intimidated by her.

Good evening everyone, I'm a girl, huge fan of Niktor. I seek & I collect their clips, so that I can create a sort of chrono story. I am looking above all for episodes relating to the period 1992, 1998/ 1999, end 2000, 2001/2007. but not clips where they fight. can someone help me? Thanks in advance.

When has Victor been intimidated by Traci? I haven't paid much attention to the show since she gave him her daughter's heart and told him not to waste it (which he did). I enjoy the character of Traci, but it would be nice to see her get fed up with Jack and Victor now and then. Their feud is pathetic at this point.

I was just watching the Nov 20, 1987 episode where Eileen's Ashley got so fed up of Jack she laid back in her chair and started fanning herself and rolling her eyes. Terry/Jack was being more annoying than usual about Brad. At the end Jack leaves and Ashley does the gun to the head thing.

It is these moments that were lost with recasts, the shading of things. I also liked in the same scene when Jack makes a quip about Brad, Ashley's demeanour gets darker, I think more so for Traci than Brad. Ashley was pretty much a surrogate mother to Traci and whenever something about her life came up, Ashley was immediately defensive. Especially with Dina and Jack.

    • Oh, really? I didn't see that at all. Ted's only been loving and supportive, even with this reveal I still haven't seen anything too dark from him. Shitty father and husband, sure. My one nitpick is that they could have accomplished that without having another affair though.
    • Remember post-ATWT how Brooke Alexander was in eight million commercials and home improvement shows?  She was the epitome of a mid 90s consumer surrogate. Meanwhile, Kelly Menighan worked the heck out of the short hairdo for years, and never got a beauty contract.  TBH, her whole vibe gave Midwest suburbs, as interpreted through the eyes of a Manhattan costume department with a network budget for designer goods. She was definitely sophisticated given her limited access to shopping at Lisa's Boutique in Oakdale.

    • Absolutely agree. Nicole's reaction to Ted, and Kat's reaction to Eva, will be interesting.
    • One tiny problem. Apparently she just inked a new deal. All it means, though, is that they will want to get some mileage out of her before they implement the DRW50 Master Plan. What do ya think? 6 months too short? 3 years def too long. A year and a half?
    • Your haughtiness amuses me in return. Like you think you know ALL?
    • I've seen this error before. I think it should be okay in the future.

    • Ted has been icky and giving off bad guy vibe from the first moment I saw him. I have a sensor for that and it was beeping! So...don't put all the blame on Silkpress. The woman needs a good psychiatrist, true... but Leslie is just one of the skeletons in HIS closet. Ted is even a bigger monster, because he's hidden.  IT WAS A PERFECT REVEAL. Perfect, because in the beginning of the show... Dani was envying her sister's marriage... In these first few messy weeks... her own misery and life spiraling was contrasted to the picture-perfect marriage Nicole and Ted seemed to have. (on first glance). What happened now... is very very smart writing. THIS IS THE MOMENT THE MASKS ARE FALLING! The message it delivers to me is this. It says - no matter how things look... they are not what they seem. You can't judge a marriage by how it appears to be. Aaaand in the long run... maybe the messiest-looking people (Dani Dupree, I'm talking about you!) HAVE less issues and problems than the ones that seem to have it all. The ones with the MOST skeletons in the closets and the dirty pasts.   It was an AHA moment for the whole family and the viewers and a way forward for Dani and Nicole to bond even more and realize they are MORE alike than they are different. Now it will be quite a different dynamic, because Dani will have to SUPPORT someone and not be the one getting her wounds licked always. And also another lesson. Some men are dogs. Not all of them. But a lot of them are. The difference is... some can't be easily recognized. These creeps have put very impressive masks. The show is doing this perfectly. Beat by beat. Exploring classic soap opera themes and stories. Real-life characters and situations, that are relatable and make you think... Hmm... maybe I need to dig a little deeper next time I say "these people are perfect" or otherwise. Maybe I need to think MORE. That type of storytelling. It's not easy to do that.  Brava BTG.  B-R-A-V-A!
    • I speculate that Nicole will go through cycles of numbness/grief/rage.  At some point later on, regardless of DNA results (or faked results), whether there was a baby swap or not, I think Nicole will forgive Eva, and eventually love her someday.  Nicole will come to understand that Leslie gaslighted/manipulated Eva.  Nicole will be her loving self, although more guarded than before.   Just my thoughts.
