This is from two essays that were printed in Newsday (Suffolk, NY) newspaper in 1973, debating the pros and cons of soap viewing.

Wow!  Thanks for posting these!

I don't know why I couldn't get it to link correctly and have the images actually show up in the SON thread, but I got stuck just posting the link. Anyway, you're welcome!

This is a synopsis of what was happening on Days during Abe's first appearances in 1981.  David was on the run after being framed for shooting Alex Marshall.  Abe was trying to catch him and Julie/Doug/Val were helping David hide.  The blackmailing fugitive who had David was Nick Corelli.  We had not yet seen Roman.

I was a big of Nick Corelli. Would love to see his early appearances.

Is that the same Nick that was also Nick the Pimp in the late 80s that was causing problems for Mike and April?

Yes! That's him. Nick appeared as a recurring character  in 1981 and 1984. Until he was made a regular in 1987.

Thanks!

Him being brought back years later just seems so random

I'm surprised too. That he was remembered with all the regime turnovers. Loved Nick and Eve. Since they were darker .

Fun Fact: His first appearances on Days he was credited as Conrad Dunn (his real name). He then used George Jenesky for the majority of his Days run. And has since gone back to using Conrad Dunn as his name.
