I wonder if we are catching up on screen to the point that production was shut down earlier in the year and if there will be any noticeable changes?

Are you talking about that first week in January when all the TV shows were asked to stay dark by the governor? The past three weeks of episodes are the first stuff that was taped in 2021.

Week of 1/4/21-1/8/21 PRODUCTION SUSPENDED

Week of 1/11/21-1/15/21 # 14055-14062 (airing 3/5/21-3/16/21)
Week of 1/18/21-1/22/21 # 14063-14070 (airing 3/17/21-3/26/21)

With DAYS and Y&R, it’s never say never for me.  Because we know they have their libraries intact.  I feel like Corday has even said he knows there is value there, he just has to figure out a way to capitalize on it.

After The Doctors showed up on Retro TV, I have hope that more soaps will be available somewhere in my lifetime.  Just a question of when.

But then again, I’m hopeful that HBOMAX will eventually stream Knots Landing, as they own the show (Lorimar became Warner’s).  So maybe I’m delusional.

Salem Strangler On Days Of Our Lives | Promo 1982

That entire week of shows was riveting to me as a teen. I had no idea who the Strangler was so the suspense was great, I loved Patty Weaver and the songs she debuted (I even bought her album) and the costumes and production were pretty cool. Only negative was the Melinda Fee was so miscast as Mary Anderson that I didn't care what happened to her.
