Jane had already done a soap in the 60's. And it took Jane 2 years to land a soap role ,so her agent was a little slow to follow Jane's request.

In the meantime Jane landed a primetime series Rosetti and Ryan.

Speaking of Charlotte Ross, She did a throwback post on her Instagram and Twitter yesterday about her time as Eve Donovan. I love when actors and actresses who go onto other things don't show contempt for their soap roots.

This is true of Julianne Moore!

Loved this also about Anne Heche!

It is also true of Sarah Lancashire, a Brit, though. Last year when she won Britain's highest drama award she thanked by name her directors from when she was at her first job on CORRIE!!!

Ok, but back to my original question, does anyone know if there was a connection (personal or professional) between Ken Corday and Marty Krofft?  Or was the Screen Gems connection to both companies ever cited as the reason for the acting crossovers?

On max, Deidre Hall is a guest star on the Jean Smart hit comedy, "Hacks", Season 3, Episode 7, new today.

The show is hilarious!!!

So, more about it. Dee's part was small to mid-size & she was in the B or C story. No scenes with Deborah (Jean Smart) or Ava (Comic's writer). She looked amazing & of course, she hit her marks & got all of her lines, with gusto. She played the mother of a guy who works for Deborah Vance (Jean Smart). I am now convinced that everyone who has said that DAYS has terrible lighting, are all correct!

If that had happened it would have been big soap news at the time. The closest DAYS got to an AW crossover around then was Maeve Kinkead and David Forsyth doing cameos as royals who went the way of the Moldavian Massacre. IIRC, Victoria Wyndham was claimed to have initially accepted a part in that story but then declined.

I ended up watching the end of the Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1982 episode. The driving action was Marlena's determination to prove that Roman is not actually involved in drugs (he was framed by Stefano; meanwhile, Marlena doesn't yet know of Roman's ISA involvement) and Renee freaking out about being seen with Tony, which only makes her look suspicious as hell to the likes of Neil (and apparently earlier in the episode, Tom & Alice; they were at UH because Scotty was a patient).
