"Talk" is holding steady at 2.2 million viewers. no mention of any ratings, especially demos, yet.

ATWT had slightly more viewers till the end or not?

I watched I think Wednesday or Thursday and I actually think the hosts overall show promise. Throw in a Joy Behar or Star Jones and it would really pop. The big problem is Leah Remini who adds nothing but annoys the living daylights out of me. I also HATE HATE HATE the mom format. The hot topics are too preachy and sugary sweet and not relevant enough. They need to get over the mom garbage and simply be a talk show.

I expected better but, overall, a good start. Ironic, ATWT needed a 2.1 to stay on air. I don't blame CBS for wanting to make more money and ending ATWT and GL were smart moves for the network; however, it sucks for me. CBS has always had trouble with morning shows (The Early Show; CBS This Morning; The Morning Program; CBS Morning News) and I've never understood why.

Because most morning viewers are set in their ways. Today Show and GMA have a following who watch their show every morning, just because they always have. The Early Show has only been on a little over a decade right? They will never get out of 3rd place. I know I automatically put it on NBC every morning out of habit.

Either way, Talk is here to stay and, if it does well, could easily be expanded into a 2 hour mid-day show: Watch out Y&R!

Not going to happen.

I watched for the first fifteen minutes today and almost had to throw up because of the syrupy, self-congratulatory attitudes. And also Sharon Osborne and her sob story about her father teaching her to act and lie to keep the electricity on.... each woman giving their "rags to riches" tale, as if to say in a very solicitous way.. "Mothers of america..... WATCH US! LOVE US!! And altough we make more money in one year than you'll ever see in your lifetime, wer'e JUST LIKE YOU!! WE knew this would happen, but I haven't seen anything pimped this hard on Network TV in years.

Sharon doesn't look good...like her entire face was smeared with honey and put in front of a beehive.

I watched it a little bit...Leah Remini needs to DIAL IT THE F DOWN. She takes talking over the others to a new extreme! She makes the View ladies look polite. The only thing that made me smile was their jabs at Whoopi and Joy walking off the View. That would make it entertaining for me...if the two shows subtly bitched each other out every day.

I think it has to start being a bit more honest. When they all did their gay bullying shout out, I woulda loved someone to ask Leah Remini how her Scientology views fit into it all.

Yeah. That's the problem with shows like this. "We're a bunch of different people from different backgrounds and different experiences! However, we're not going to honestly discuss any of that! Let's make Rice Krispie Treats!!"

Good grief, she's a member of that wacko cult, too?

She's one of the more infamous members... (I found it funny when she nodded along to Sarah saying that the joy of havign kids was watching them become their own people, not who you want them to be, because even if I'm being generous--and I had a close friend become a Scientologist for several years and even went to a few meetings just to show him I was open minded lol--that is NOT the mentality behind that "church").

Marceline--that's exactly it. It's one thing to have different opinions, but still have respect for those of others'. That could still make interesting tv--but the mentality so far is exactly what you said "we all have different backgrounds and experiences, yet REALLY we're all the same when ti comes down to it--all loving mothers *group hug*". Blah. I am not a big View fan, and I think sometimes the arguments on it become overthe top--that said they're 100% more engaging.

Scientology is not full of gay hate, the way some groups are. That said, they believe (and this is stated extremely clearly, there's no way around it) that it's a mental illness, and actually only rate it slightly below other things they see as illnesses (including murderers...) When you go "clear", after extreme amounts of auditing--and usually money--to clear yourself of all the pollutants that have made you less than you can, and should be--you can NOT still be gay.

I got a email from someone watching the Blah-Blah and said they turned the show off mid way - cause they couldn't stand

So I guess that Tom cruise will have to turn in his Jeff Stryker dildo?

I only saw a clip and I can see that JC is already in Barbara Walters self-show-stroking mode, "We are such a great group of gals" blase blah. It seems so disingenuous and hugely "elephant in the room" to not formally shoutout The View on this show.

CBS has always had trouble with morning shows (The Early Show; CBS This Morning; The Morning Program; CBS Morning News) and I've never understood why. The Early Show isn't any worse than GMA and The Talk will probably be similiar to The View. Either way, Talk is here to stay and, if it does well, could easily be expanded into a 2 hour mid-day show: Watch out Y&R!

Bring back Paula Zahn to be repaired with Harry Smith and I bet The Early Show's numbers would double. They were the ones to beat GMA (when it was anchored by Newman and McRee of course). Of course, should Mark McEwen ever feel good enough to return for more than a special guest, well the ratings would skyrocket.

I watched the Talk myself and thought it was a snoozefest, it needs more excitement to really stand out I suppose. Then again, maybe CBS should have gotten Paula Zahn on the Talk too ^_^

She could not agree with her religions view on that subject manner. It would be interesting to see.
