After watching Jessica, Brody, and Clint today I got to thinking, and I hope I'm wrong. I have a feeling Jessica's baby is Ford's; however, Clint will mess around with the paternity test to make it so everyone believes the baby is Brody's to "protect his family." I hope I'm wrong.

If Phil Carey were still with us then I would have asked ABC to have Asa appear in a vision to mock Clint for that beatdown. Ford was barely injured.

Within the realm of actions actually allowed on a daytime soap, he should have just shipped Ford off to the same jail David is in. They can both make stupid faces and compare their abs.

I liked Clint having Ford beat up...I'm so tired of super-villain Eli..I can't tell if he's supposed to be slightly amusing while menacing or what, but I just find him annoying.

I think MW is going for cartoon villainy not menacing.

Clint rocked!

Tea and Dani reunion rocked!

Even Starr & Hope's little baseball scene was cute and worked.

Show's been far more tightly written and paced the last 2 weeks. Feels like sweeps.

There isn't much to explain. The show needs someone to keep the plot moving because they have so many inert characters (John, Todd, Jessica, among others). So Clint is a plot device who does random things which move the stories of other people, and this is passed off as being the "new Asa."

Can some explain this new side of clintg since I am fairly "new" to OLTL again?

well he's been this way for the past few years now. Ever since Asa died, he's become more and more like him, doing underhanded and dirty things, in his business and his personal life to protect his family. I dont think there was one single event which triggered the change, although he did seem to get worse when Nora cheated on him with Bo. He justifiably got bitter and vengeful after that

Don't forget about the thrilling story where he tried to deport Langston. If only he'd succeeded.

    • Does Jill still own 25% of Jabot? I haven't kept up in a while and I just saw a tweet that Jill offered a position to Billy at Chancellor which made me question what gave Jill the authority to offer a position within that company?  Did she gain Chancellor stock when she thought she was Kay's daughter and just never gave it back, or is she the proxy for her son Phillip's stock?  I would hope that they didn't write in that she owns part of Fenmore's because Neil died before Jill found out they were related and Lauren was his sole heir (which doesn't suddenly change when a bastard child is found).
    • @soapfan770 Agree, Lillie Belle Barber was the last of the messy matriarchs. One of the most powerful scenes on 1990s Y&R was the Dru/Lillie Belle confrontation where Dru learned she was the result of marital rape.
