There's nothing shocking about a random threesome on TV. It just seems desperate. Gossip Girl did this and no one gave a !@#$%^&*] about that either.

If you want to shock someone with three people, have a poly relationship - that would actually provide story and explore something you don't get outside of that Big Love show I never have watched yet.

She was great in Yours, Mine and Ours. But her acting was rarely what you would call subtle. And like the original Dallas didn't have it's fair share of "trash". The only reason there wasn't more skin (and I recall there being a whole lot of skin on display) is because they couldn't get away with it back then. All we saw in this "threesome" was two scantily clad ladies (in outfits they'd had on previously in the season) and a shirtless man, kneeling on a bed, kissing. No more clothes came off.

If that had been two people on a bed, would Morgan's ire have been raised? I doubt it. That JohnRoss/Emma oral sex scene was more suggestive and trashy, IMO.

I could have done without the scene too...but because it made Pambecca look like a weak idiot (even after reading Cidre's explanation). The shock factor wore off for me after about ten seconds, and was practically forgotten the second Pambecca started seizing and throwing up.

+1 though I believe Sue Ellen was at Southfork. I was too busy rolling my eyes and saying how much this all sucks to pay that close attention.

Thanks soapsuds for the Season 3B spoilers! Cidre's explanation for Pambecca was awful. I hate this bitch. Can we get a new producer? It's clear most of this was pulled out of her ass because they needed some cliffhangers.

I'd rather they keep Heather and dump Elena, but Cidre is determined to make Elena and Jesse Metcalfe work. NEITHER WILL EVER WORK. Dump them!

Ratings aren't as horrible as articles make it out to be. They're not stellar by any means. I think TNT is definitely behind it but they could stand to at least start seeing some increases. The problem is, winter was just the wrong spot for it. It should have stayed in the summer and splitting up the season, IMO, wasn't very smart.

Splitting up the season was the only hope this show had and to be fair, that is how all TNT shows with big episode orders air. The problem with this show isn't when it airs though, it did very well last winter, but the writing is horrible. Whenever they have a big boost viewers immediately tune out because they realize they weren't watching the show. I haven't watched season 3 yet, but I doubt it could be as improved as people make it out to be. I know people have said it's more soapy, but my guess is the only real difference is them throwing every cliche in the book in there. These writers simply don't understand how to write a soap. How to develop multi-dimensional characters and give motivations to their actions. To develop a story without jumping from plot twist to plot twist. How to use supporting and recurring characters as "talk-to's" to give insight in the lead characters, etc., etc.

My point is, if TNT Dallas wants a shot it needs a new showrunner, period. I don't want to hear any other suggestions that is the long and short of it. They need to get somebody in there who understands how to write a soap and see if they can turn it around. Cynthia Cidre is not going to be able to save this show.

    • I have watched the scene where Vanessa reads the letter and it's lovely, but I'm really glad now that I never got around to watching the funeral. Henry ADORED Nola! He treated her like a daughter and Stacy like a granddaughter. That's why Vanessa couldn't stand her. He was crazy about all the Reardons. He spent a lot of time at the boarding house. He and Bea--they never explicitly said it was romantic, but they certainly were loving friends. This sounds worse than Bert's funeral. I really did not think that was possible.
    • It always bothered me from the start that Nicole just took Mona's suggestion and never checked references.  A real psychiatrist would have done more before hiring someone. I like that Kat's reporter/investigative type instincts caused her to be suspicious of Eva from the start, and to try to spy on Eva and catch her as weeks went by. However, I think that Kat's so focused on what Eva did wrong -- that she won't see that Leslie is the master manipulator, making some things appear different than they actually are. I hope that Shanice's natural snoopy nature will get her to figure out what actually happened to Laura, and who really caused all the problems.
    • And I'm here for it.   Also...YES, PLEASE.
    • Also, someone knocked over the head (usually in the D Mansion) and imprisoned in the secret tunnel room or whatever it was. I swear that must have happened at least a dozen times the last few years, and each time it drove me crazy!
    • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! And here I am rewatching and...

    • 5-9   Honestly? There's nothing going on. And yet unlike Y&R, I'm not bored. But I just think that's because of the acting going on as they play the beats in this Liam dying storyline. Well, that and the outfits.   If there's anything I'm liking it's the continued drama of Daphne going after Carter and not letting anyone get in her way. Not Brooke. Not Katie. NO ONE.    And while I love TK in those glasses, I am not here for a Brooke/Ridge/Taylee triangle.    And of course, Luna would try to use this Liam mess to get closer to Finn.   Okay week.
    • The acting during those Sarah scenes on Friday was horrific.
    • So true. Their hypocrisy is on another level. When Anita called Ted a coward because he used Bill as a fixer, I almost choked on my Ritz. And Dani calling Ted worse than Bill as a husband because Bill never pretended to be a good person? Then why stay with him for decades and continue to kiss up to him, Dani? I was glad when Bill told Anita he wouldn't be her punching bag. Not for me. I can think of 100 other actors who would have smoking hot chemistry with LB. Lindstrom does not. I see zero chemistry. None. Joey isn't sexy or scary.   -- Mona was awesome today. -- Why was Eva playing cards in the back room of the casino? -- Can they make Anita any more sanctimonious and self-righteous? -- Dani said Anita had Ted shook. LOL. Really?       No. But I see what you're trying to do. This is a SOAP OPERA. Characters HAVE to make mistakes and sin and screw up and cheat. That's the deal. I understand the concern that we have 2 leading Black men who have cheated on their wives. I do. But I also understand that this is SOAPS 101. Are we going to hear complaints every time a Black character messes up???
    • Gone are the days where at least once every week, a character would pull a gun on someone (Ron you really turned gun violence into a joke on this show)
