I'm surprised by that, Ron. I mean, I watch it because I like sex and fart jokes (that's about 90% of the jokes), and there's usually hot women. I didn't think it was your "style" of show.

Two and a Half Men usually you either love or hate. I love it, they make me laugh, but most of the time I just like watching it. There's not thinking involved or anything, just mindless fun.

I've been thinking for awhile to start watching those TV shows that don't come from the main networks (NBC/CBS/ABC/FOX/CW), mainly Six Feet Under, True Blood or Breaking Bad, but I just can't get myself to actually download the shows. Maybe sometime in the future when I'm done watching all the reruns.

I forgot all about Downtown--we got that late at nighthere in Canada, and Inever seemed to remember when it was on, so would just randomly come across it--for some reason I really loved it.

(I hate Two and a Half Men--I find it kinda mean spirited or something. I do like Chuck Lorre's Big Bang much better...)

Dexter is one that comes to mind, nearly all my friends watch it but I just never caught on to it, and it feels too late to start now.

Was there a Canadian show about a newspaper? I swear I remember watching this in reruns on Lifetime or Trio or something (Trio at one point had a lot of shows no one else in the States had ever shown, like All Saints, and some forest ranger show, and Corrie). I think there was a plane crash episode.

Don't feel bad; I couldn't get into "The Wire," either. In fact, aside from "Oz" and maybe "Six Feet Under" (which I promise I'll begin watching someday), I tend not to enjoy HBO's original programming (and really, after awhile, "Oz" just got to be too much for me, my love for Tom Fontana's work be damned).

Conversely, I think I could enjoy "Mad Men" and even "Breaking Bad," but -- wouldn't you know -- AMC is the one network/channel my cable company does not carry? (Come on, Turner Classic Movies, where's your first original, scripted series already?)

    • Sounds interesting. Too bad we never got that story.
    • Not to go too off topic but if you ever want to see more of his Search run just look for SFT Summer of 1966 on Youtube.
    • No. When he tried to blow up half the world As for when Andrew was kidnapped, Dimitri would reveal, during his tearful plea for Andrew's love, that it was Megan who put him up to it, and that deep down, he didn't want to hurt the true love of his life
    • Trigger warning for SA, but this popped up on my TikTok algorithm

    • Hmmmm....your Chandler Massey? You mean when Dimitri tied up Andrew?
    • Per today's developing L.A. situation, I will let someone else cover it. I am not out there because of my recent physical situation (though I'd like to be) but I'm perfectly safe. Honestly I expect it'll go as poorly for the administration as it's already beginning to, and good for the people who can be out there fighting but we've been here before. Charlottesville was an atrocity that should've ended a presidency and didn't, and now Trump in like Flynn and his second term is less than six months in. My general pragmatism has curdled into something entirely more fatalistic in recent months. I have no expectation for this changing anything materially about our larger situation, I just hope a lot of people don't die. And if it shackles or trips up the administration for awhile re: its fascist policies or actions, great.

    • I remembered this as well, so I was surprised that Tomas didn't seen to know what Eva was talking about.  I would be happy for them to go their separate ways and get help for their own addictions.
    • I admit it. Peter Porte is my Chandler Massey  And, because his previous storyline was just so gross and disgusting and poorly written, I feel the character and the actor deserve some redemption.  And what better storyline would there be then for it to be revealed that Dimitri and Andrew had a fling when he was in the ISA pretending to be Kyle Graham, and that Dimitri has returned to Salem to get Andrew, the true love of his life, back. I would even tie it in to what he tried to do in Beyond Salem, which a certain fired head writer basically wanted us to forget
