Scott should never get more airtime than Frankie. Scott is average looking and has no charisma. All he has over Frankie is that he is white.

I don't care if the whole Klan showed up at ABC's front door. Frankie needs more airtime and a passionate affair with Madison as Randi leaves town to become a model.

Separate question for those with a better grasp of history. When Madison said she was shopping for a little girl she asked Frankie if he had any children in his life. He mentioned that he had some cousins, nieces and nephews. Who would he be talking about? Angie's "brother" Teddy? Jesse's... who? What? As far as I can tell he has no aunts or uncles other than Uncle Tad and Uncle Greg. I'm perfectly inclined to accept that he's "uncle" to some of the kids of soldiers he served with.

What am I missing/forgetting?

The whole Teddy thing still has me scratching my head  , but Jesse had a brother named Eugene, and if Teddy is possible it's possible that he had more half-siblings as well. The only other kid I remember in their family was Jesse's little cousin Carl, but he was older than Frankie. Perhaps Carl's kids? Technically, Frankie has no nieces or nephews since Natalia and Cassie have no kids, but of course it isn't uncommon for an adult to refer to his much younger cousins as nieces and nephews.

Maybe Frankie was referring to his second cousins. I don't know who those would be either. I just wish there was one damn scene where Frankie acknowledges that he has a son somewhere. I know he was given up for adoption but I'm just curious about Randi and Jesse's reaction

I LOL how Frankie told Madison he doesn't have a kid, I guess Mia told him it's not his baby offcamera...laugh.gif

Frankie last time I checked YOU DO HAVE A SON!dry.gif

And I so want them to do some tension between Frankie and Scott...that's why I say put him to interact w/ Randi and Frankie.

Frankie was also a childhood friend of Bobby Warner, I remember scenes of them when I was a kid and they were actually older than me back then. :P Well, Bobby's still older than me but Frankie isn't. With the talk of the Cortlandts nd Chandlers being built back up maybe we'll see Bobby again.

If they'd actually take some time to really focus on Frankie and establish the character beyond a sore hand, a boring marriage, and a "are they or aren't they" dance with Madison, we could be in long-lost child territory by now. It's like they aren't prepared to further complicate him at this point and I used to think they they wanted to keep him "young" by not being a father but then you have a character like J.R. (and then again you have a character like Damon who they so transparently "freed up"). A child who is Angie and Jesse's grandson and Liza's nephew, HELLO. But if the kid was given up for adoption the show may be off the air before the mysterious troubled beige teenager hits town. :(

    • Above, I said "Vanessa needs to go to therapy to find ways to remain healthfully lusty and sex-positive, but to stay away from anyone who would demean her." Now adding onto that thought, I would clarify that sometimes I think Vanessa fools around for fun in a positive way.    But other times I sense that she's actually unconsciously trying to demean herself as way of numbing some inner pain -- it's hard to explain what I mean.  Sort of like... sometimes people drink for fun. But other times, people drink  in a self-destructive way, in order to drown out some inner pain. So I think she needs therapy about all of that.
    • A lot of these episodes are available on YT. The rape storyline starts around February or March of 1979 and Roger's demise is sometime in March 1980. The stuff from before 1979 is close to non exisitent, unfortunately.
    • Maeve Kinkead was on from 1980-1988 (left in January); 1989-2000 (went recurring 1996-97); 2002 -For Josh /Reva's Wedding; 2005 (appearances in May and December) back regularly from Feb 2006-end Maureen Garrett was on from 1976-80; 1988-2006 (recurring from 2003 on); 2009 Michael Zaslow was on/off from 1971-1980 with breaks in between but usually made an appearance every year then again 1989-1997. There is a youtube commercial  Guiding Light in 1968

    • Holly's final big story was the Sebastian mess in late 2004.   Vanessa and Matt were promoted to regulars near the end and were heavily recurring prior to that starting around 2007/2008.
    • Keith has a softer presence, but it would have helped to see him be more aggressive or proactive in protecting them instead of standing around like a mannequin. A man the audience should be hoping and wishing gets back together with his wife. Nicole needs a new husband!
    • She needs to learn to be honest with her husband about her lusty interests because being sex positive only works if you're not cheating on your spouse.

    • Very disappointed in the writers in the way they are screwing with Nicole, Ted,  and Kat to make Leslie remain viable. So many holes everywhere.
    • Somebody brought this up elsewhere which emphasizes why this NuTed appears as such a weakling. Why is Kat doing what HE should be doing? And that's everything he can to rid him and his family of this crazy woman. Kat is doing all kinds of things she shouldn't do but now I understand her more. She can't count on her father to eliminate this woman because he's a wimp. He's been too busy inviting her into his home and serving her drinks and offering her invitations to birthday parties. WIMP!!!!
