Absolutely. Obviously this show is not interested in bringing on an equally fabulous and formidable woman of a certain age for Erica. I know Susan and Rebecca are fond of each other and they enjoy their scenes together, but I'm willing to guess that Susan isn't having as *much* fun or isn't feeling truly challenged playing Erica up against someone we all know she could squish. It's not as interesting and the stakes aren't high enough. This is missing the gravitas of a daughter and mother in law-type relationship of a Rachel and Iris or a Viki and Dorian, or the older woman/younger woman adversarial relationship of Kay and Jill. Something's just... missing.

For God's sake, AMC/ABCD, what are you waiting for?! Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla, Y&R) is available. Sign her to a contract. Sheesh.

This was my favorite episode so far this week.

I know I'm a broken record, but I love Jack & Erica and today when she turned against him over Greenlee and then apologized at the end (after that hilarious phone call with Opal) was just classic!

That said, I have to agree that Erica/Greenlee is missing something. Imo, it's because Jack's relationship with Greenlee happened so quickly and it just doesn't ring true for him to put her on an equal level with the love of his life. But I do enjoy Erica & Greenlee sparring verbally and today was a good day for that.

I'm still optimistic that if enough of us voice a pro-David/Greenlee opinion, they can be the end result!

Rickey Paull Goldin isn't bad when he sticks to the script. The scene where he proposed was actually kind of touching because he finally brought some emotion to the scene instead of some stupid wisecrack.

I feel bad for Liza that Tad shut her down and then she had to watch him & Krystal being so loving. I don't even blame her for calling Damon a loser since from her perspective, he really is. I'm still rooting for him and Colby, which, like Eric on this board said the other day, is the best young love story AMC has had in years!

Just consider us stereo then because I LOVE THEM all the time too  SL/WW have more chemistry than any other pairing they've had, or to be honest, more than any of the couples on the show right now. I know others don't agree but that's my opinion. I just don't see Nouri as a contender, sorry

ITA. McTavish only created this to give Erica someone to battle for Jack, and I wish they had truly cared enough about the J/G relationship to nurture it, but they didn't and that's too bad. Maybe Erica/Jack can adopt a child someday :D

Only if Frons falls in love with someone else and kicks his Cameron to the curb

Tad deserves better than both of these women.

Tad is an ass. I really wish Liza would just drop her feelings for him already. He is NOT worth it.

I dont hate teh Jack/Greenlee stuff like others. They arent super close. She seems to need him as a father when she needs something. I find the level of their relationship to be appropriate

Where the heck was Frankie? Isnt Jake his friend? They couldnt even at least squeeze some screentime out of him for this?

SL was doing so great in those scenes! Those were my favorite of the day. Her conversation with Opal later on was HILARIOUS, to.

I loved Tad and Krystal. UGh why AMC must you tease that pairing, when it's clear what you really are going for?? Liza seemed so out of place at JamanDUH's proposal party. I was looking at her and she looked so uncomfortable, lol. I love Colby's devotion to Damon, and how she always sticks by his side through thick and thin.

I found everything JamanDUH to be extra boring. It's like, who cares lol.

Loved Greenlee and David! What Greenlee said at the end was just perfect. I like how AMC is building up to Erica's storyline, can't wait.

ETA: I also liked when Greenlee was reminiscing about the early days of Fusion. I wish AMC had inserted actual flashbacks instead of just audio, though. I think it would have added more to it. I still like Fusion.

and last year Erica's rival was Annie. I mean seriously? Annie? I guess Greenlee is slightly better but they do seem to be scraping at the bottom of the barrel giving her women to fight with. Who's next? Colby?

To be fair, it seems the writers agree. David's machinations aside, the story seems to already be kinda over (I know they're using it to instigate Erica's new story though) and today alone we had Jack and Opal call Erica out ont he fact she doesn't even need another stupid company, and she was being juvenile.

I didn't even notice Jack's "yucky" tats, lol. Hrmm. (Isn't he too young for Vietnam? I'm so confused by all this vet talk :P )

I will agree that this has been an awfully slow, and unevenly paced sweeps. That said, I've been enjoying it--I've enjoyed a lot of the individual scenes, the different character interactions and directions the stories seem to be heading in.

And while this has been endless--I even liked the Liza/Tad/Krystal stuff today (I know I'm in the minority for liking the Damon stuff, but I will admit that the fact Krystal talked him into giving Tad ANOTHER chance happened in under a minute was a bit much. I wish they could hire Joe Martin back for even 2 or three episodes and have him come to town and really straighten Damien out, talk about his own time with Tad as a kid, etc).
