Its "her" and I'll be sure to pass your thoughts along.

What day was the James Mitchell memorial? That should've been a ratings high for AMC but ABCD has driven away so many viewers and most of them are never coming back. Mitchell and Canary deserved better ratings.

It is boring crap. I don't know how else to describe it. When they started their slow but sure ratings climb they concentrated on stories heavy in plot and filled with twists. From Morgan's father we got the DiMera vs Kiriakis feud. That led to the corrupt mayor I think (my timeline could be off), and I want to say this is when Sami saw the assassin that sent her out of town for the start of the whole baby saga. And that is where things started to go wrong. Suddenly ABC style writing took over the show and it became about couples--boring couples. Couples who are on constantly but have no story to star in other than the fact they breathe as a couple. They had a brief couple of weeks with the truth about the baby coming out, and then except for intermittent Vivian and Victor scenes, it is just Sami, EJ, Nicole, Melanie, Philip, Chloe and Daniel discussing the state of affairs about how everyone feels about each other. It sucks. Nicole and Brady, who cares? Stephanie and Nathan, who cares? Freaking Sydney? I wish she was never found so I could never hear her name again. Where is the plot where I can't wait to see what will happen next?

The only bright spot in the entire show is Jessica Tuck's character seems to have a secret. Other than that I don't think I am curious or wondering about a single aspect of the show.

Days is really weak right now. There's no real movement or momentum in any story and the things that are happening are largely random, senseless, and unrootable.

AMC was doing well briefly but now it's stuck in a similar state as Days. It's inert. Things aren't really moving in a way thats compelling. There's way too much emphasis on Damon, NuColby III, Madison, Jake & Amanda, Natalia's modeling crap, and (duh) Ryan. With Adam out of the picture and Kreizman/Swajeski coming along, I imagine that AMC's remaining positives will quickly vanish into the ether.

OLTL is just horrid in almost every way. It's only saving grace at the moment is that Viki is back and she and Charlie are repairing their relationship and...um...and...um...yup, that's all. The constant victimization of Marty, the incessant Todd propping, the musical and all the messes attached to the teen scene, Natalie and Jessica's pathetic, almost psychotic self-absorption, and Rex's neverending search for his daddy? Ugh. Just ugh.

    • The Duprees not having any staff is a bugbear for me. They've included the background staff at the Country Club but no one at the Dupree home. Even just an extra bringing in a tray of food/drinks or responding to a request from Anita would suffice.
    • Shut up, Dante and Lois.  I actually don't mind this particular soap trope, but in the context of this storyline, it just feels forced and unnecessary. If anything, this Dante/Gio tension needed to begin months ago. Plus, this storyline, in general, isn't doing Lois any favors either.  Emma comforting Gio was really sweet though. It's definitely time for the two of them to have their first kiss. And, Joss playing Secret Agent Barbie will just never work.
    • Note to makeup - Smitty’s eyebrows, bad clamshell look.

    • Okay I can buy that when Brook Lynn was a teen.  Now she knows the child is a boy one would think she'd be slightly suspicious.  Then again, Gio looks nothing like either of them so maybe not lol.
    • I've been behind & just got caught up & the last 3 days were amazing!
    • Yeah.  The hot, poor bad boy with a chip on his shoulder but with a heart of gold was a common soap trope in the 80s

    • That's been an issue with me... the lack of a cohesive 'Have Not' crowd that has focus other than Leslie/Eva.   I would beef up Jan, Mona, Laura, Joey, and few other male characters.. and not just be out to overthrow the Duprees.. but co-existing and broadening the scope of the show since the show is called Beyond the Gates. I think the set up the show has with everything revolving around the Duprees will become predictable especially if they always win.   It would be like Victor Newman on Y & R for 40+ years.. always winning, hardly ever losing.   With MVJ/Guza.. both trained under that mindset... I fear that will happen.   I've always heard from a performer that is playing a character like Leslie/Dana that you have to find the victim/hurt beneath the surface in order to play a villain/villainess... and I think that's why I enjoy watching her.. because she brings so much more to the part than what the writers put on the page.
    • I figure that was really hard for Dom to do. I completely GET why they wrote it the way they did but I wonder if it was necessary. Meanwhile I have 2 really icky ideas in my head. Drew is going to blame Tracy KNOWING it was not her. Dante is going to blame Lulu.  After that, everyone else is going to be mad at Lois.  Tracy is going to double down on wanting to get rid of Sonny. Sonny's going to be more dug in to stay because he now has a new descendant.
    • I can actually buy Brook Lynn being so self-absorbed and incurious that she never thought to question why her mom and grandma were so attached to Gio.
