New head writers Donna & David preview the show well into the summer:

-They say Alica Minshew will return as Kendall permanently at the end of the summer.

-Expect a recast Bianca. They want to rebuild the Kane women. Erica is getting cast a new man. The show is searching for an educated but rugged man for Erica. DK says they are looking at a lot of different people and the most important thing is finding someone who is up to the task.

-David & Donna's scripts won't start airing until the last week of May.

-A lot of stories will spring off from Palmer's will reading. The Chandler/Cortlandt rivalry will be revived. There will be several new character brought on connected to the Cortlandt family.

-Adam exits in May sweeps and that will have major repercussions. The whole Chandler family will be jockeying for positions. They will then be connected back to the Cortlandts, fighting over something very important.

-Jack will be fighting for a prize too, Erica. He believes they belong together and they find themselves back in an easy relationship before Erica even realizes what is happening. But there will be a twist when a new man comes into Erica's life that is the opposite of Jack and the opposite of anyone who Erica would think she would ever belong with. It will be a fun new story for Erica.

-Erica will be seen again in a romantic comedic story and feisty while going up against Greenlee. Greenlee and Erica's battle will last well into the summer. It has to be remembered that Greenlee is not just Greenlee. She is married to David. David and Greenlee together are going to really inadvertently sort of step on Erica.

-Annie is going to be bereft without Adam and the power he provided, and she is going to set her sights on JR and Scott. It will be fun to watch who, JR or Scott, will win Annie.. A fun surprise will be Marissa stepping up to the plate because she is David's daughter but she's been the meek wife in the background.

-Annie and Marissa aren't the only ladies who will be experiencing changes. Fusion will be revitalized in a fun Sex and the City kind of way, with all the girls hanging out and talking about boys as much as having heavy storyline.

-Madison will be played as the girl on canvas who is living paycheck to paycheck and who is struggling with the economy. They will be trying to make her a little more real and look at who she is. As Madison is taking her first baby steps, Ryan is the great person that will be there for her.

-Angie and Jesse will take center stage. Angie will get something dramatic to do and Brooke will be in the mix. Brooke will be a big catalyst for what happens to Adam in the next few weeks. She's connected to everyone and will always be a fabric on the show.

SOW says AMC sounds perfectly outfitted for summer.

In other news, Tom Pelphrey has been cast as the new Ryan Lavery; Cam Mathison will be recast as Palmer Cortlandt, Jr.; and starting September 1st, AMC will be renamed THE P.V.

The Cortlandt/Chandler rivalry stuff, including some new Cortlandts, sounds really good, as does the Jesse/Angie/Brooke prominence. Just hope the writing can live up to the hype. The Fusion as SATC crap...WTF? They're still trying to beat that dead horse that was DOA. That really needs to end. Any guesses which ex-GL/ATWT actors will be Erica's new love interest? Robert Newman seems most likely if they were to choose from that pool of actors, but would he want to relocate?

I hope they remember too that JR (or whatever the hell he's calling himself these days) is part Cortlandt. When is Bobbie Eakes' contract up? Krystal just seems totally irrelevant. They don't seem to have anything on the horizon for her, and she must cost a pretty penny.

    • I shared this on Twitter and good grief the comments. Steffy fans can be such vile real-life human beings over a fictional character lol.
    • I remember Michael Logan interviewed L.A. actors/production staff about the movie. Susan Seaforth Hayes said she was dying to know Susan Lucci's reaction.
    • Thanks @Franko  @slick jones You may be interested in the Elisabeth Shue mention. I have to laugh that they apparently didn't even know Teri Hatcher was on Capitol. I have scans somewhere of SPW talking with soap actors about Soapdish. Some, like Mary Stuart, were not happy. I never had a lot of interest in the movie myself.
    • I never had much of a problem with Brandon Claybon's performance as Martin. He has gotten much better though. While I enjoy his confrontational scenes, I must say his lighter, and carefree scenes from Thursday's episode are the ones that stood out most in the last 3 days (to me).   I agree with all of this!
    • I know that Secret Storm had moved back to the 4/3 PM timeslot in the final months on air, so it's possible that they were trying to employ new techniques/elements to lure the teen demographic.   If that episode was around November/December 1973, I do wonder if the owners (AHS) were still trying to shop the show to other networks still.. or if they had accepted that the show was going to officially go off the air in Feb 1974 at the time of this episode airing.
    • Jordan should have been killed or written out a decade ago.
    • Xander kidnapped her a few times when she was a baby I much prefer this bitchy version of Rafe to the dull one we have had for the past few years. Leo would get on my last nerve too and I would probably have snapped by now too. Loved Roman and Doug3. My favourite scenes today. Much better than his forced kindness to Ava. About time somebody pointed out Sophia is an adult any minute and can decide her own life. This is not Handmaid's Tale. I bet Mrs Choi snatches that baby though if Sophia signs it over to 'strangers'
    • Hmm, well, I thought yesterday was "Dialog City" so at least IMO it was well done talk. Today I'm all about how harsh Dante just was to Gio & I get it that he's so scared but it's all coming out like anger - and judgment, harsh judgment. But, what they're doing is putting as much bad, troubling icky stuff between Dante & Gio as they can & it's a set-up. Good writing, acting, directing, tho. What's weird is I only recently realized that Lulu does not know it's Gio. However, I just had a thought. One day last week someone tried to kill Sonny & got killed. That wasn't words. That was action.
