Siggy deflected against Margaret's analogy and made a real ass out of herself.

The Hitler analogy wasn't even in bad taste - it was a good example! Siggy kept saying that Kim D has nothing negative to her, so she doesn't feel the need to defend Teresa, so Margaret compared Kim D (evil) to Hitler (evil) and pointed out that it's the same comparison to say that Hitler wouldn't have done anything negative to Margaret...Siggy just doesn't want to deal with the fact that she's been a disloyal friend to Teresa when it comes to Kim D.

I enjoyed Danielle wrecking that table - give her back her housewives title, she's earned it.

It always surprises me when these apparently wealthy women have never travelled *cough* Melissa *cough*.

Sheree's stuff with her kids was actually touching although I dont beleive for  second that she's talking about this with her kids for the first time on camera

Kandi...shut up! She is coming for Will bc Todd took the heat from her "entire circle", yet they show clips of Mama Joyce and Natalie...none of Cynthia.

Sheree got herself a prison bae. She said they stopped dating bc he stopped calling her 4 years and she just learned its bc he was in jail. She's desperate and dumb as f--k

Nah, I would say ATL has been uneven, but last night's episode was boring except for Kandi and the tea.

@Cat and @DaytimeFan, I know you have thoughts.

As for mine...

Love Kyle's dress if not her tagline.

Erika with that hair touch was EVERYTHING and love her tagline.

Digging Dorit's new haircut, but that tagline is hm.

New girl looks like she has a gay BFF so could be interesting. Too early to tell on tagline.

Ooooh, Lips...NEVER change. lol.

LVP is LOVE.

Rinna's is my favorite.

Random thoughts:

Dorit feels like a 3-4 season veteran. I'm surprised how quickly she gained her place.

Kyle's tagline sucks. When she asked for ideas on Twitter, someone suggested: My husband's in real estate, and I'm the realest in the State.

That, would've been PERFECT!

Meh to the rest. I'm not as excited for this season.

    • You're probably right. They may have just wanted edits of certain characters. Hopefully the rest is around.
    • Of course!

I'm wondering if there were bits cut from this footage, because to me it seems that may be the case. At 11:23, Laurie tells her psychiatrist that the bar phoned and told her Mark got into a fight and needs to be picked up. It starts to fade to the next scene, you hear some different music begin and get cut off between the static, and where you'd expect to see the aftermath of the fight, we cut back to a later scene of Laurie in bed worrying about what's happening. The credits at the end also show that more than Mark, Laurie and Dr. Northcote should have been in this episode. Another character, Brody, played by Ed Setrakian, is mentioned but not shown. If this is the case, perhaps the original fan who saved this episode has the additional scenes.
    • Anyway… It’s a shame that the video that depicted Leticia’s death was removed from YT.

I've never seen a trainwreck like this in my entire life. 5 pencils and 3 dolls?!!!!!!!!!!! (this little moment starts close to the 7th minute) WOW. THIS IS HAPPENING IN AMERICA?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • Ms. Phelps holds a BFA in directing from Carnegie Mellon University, awarded in 1972. At a time when women were underrepresented in directing programs, she was one of the few women in her graduating class. To suggest that she possessed no further talents than completely changing the style of music used on soaps seems like a vast underestimate when one reads her online biography through an objective lens. I guess that I should be more clever than to constantly blame misogyny for these misguided interpretations of her management style.  But, I'll never comprehend why fans unquestionably align their opinions even years after fact. Post-modernism, and the ability to reinterpret context through the study of history, seems to elude this conversation.

    • This is 100% correct.  It was even on the nightly news where the US Government would not let the cast and crew travel to Egypt because it was deemed not safe.  The Achille Lauro hijacking took place on October 7, 1985, when the Italian ocean liner MS Achille Lauro was hijacked by four men representing the Palestine Liberation Front off the coast of Egypt, as she was sailing from Alexandria to Ashdod, Israel. The location shoot was probably scheduled to be filmed in mid-October to air throughout November with a two week tape to air date.  Remember on the show they did some in studio scenes doubling for Egypt before shifting the action to Arizona.  It was an awkward end to a truly bizarre storyline.

New episode from late 1973 or early 1974!
    • Coronation Street had a very good story where one of the characters befriended a man who she later learned had been involved in her husband's death - when told right it can be very powerful (not like AMC trying to make it a romance). ATWT almost had a big fire in mid-1994, so this seemed to be a "thing" with P&G at the time. I guess it fits the disaster backstage atmosphere.
    •   @jmgaw did not refer to Luke and Laura. Throughout 78 GH's ratings continued to rise as AW's fell. That turnaround was getting a lot of attention in the soap press with Scotty/Laura, Rick/Leslie/Monica etc . So the 90 min decision was a reaction to that. I guess the thinking was that 60 min expansion had worked so starting AW a half hour before might keep viewers from switching to GH at 3pm. I don't think anybody really thought it would work. The most sensible solution would have been to expand The Doctors and hope for a GH like turnaround, but for reasons unknown TD never went to an hour.
