Bravo's The Real Housewives of....

Anyone know WHY Heather is loathed by other Bravolebrities?  I'd welcome her back. If she came back and the sad mess known as Shannon were still there, it'd be another one to rile her up, with her icy cool demeanor while Shannaloon goes apesh.t again.

Plus, I'd like to see the finished product of her house.

I don't know who's touting Kelly as the new Queen Bee of the OC, because she is way too unstable and messy to be anything of the sort. I love her mom, though. She cracks me up with that hairdo. It always looks like she just woke up.

I'm wondering why Bravo bothered to bring back Meghan. Surely, she must do SOMETHING worthwhile later this season?

I'm liking Peggy and I like her family. I hope she continues to gel with the girls and gets another season.

It's definitely obvious that David was coaxed by Shannaloon to "casually investigate" Diko for more info on Peggy's mastectomy. That's why she's getting all flustered with Diko approaching her about it.

Wow, look how skinny Shannon looked on her first season.    Her arms are skin and bones.

From what I've read, Heather is just plain rude, mean and haughty with the other Bravolebrities.  Specific to Jeff Lewis, here is info:

Dallas Season 2 reunion seating chart:

Kameron - D'Andra - Leanne - ANDY - Brandi - Cary - Stephanie

Not too surprised.  I was expecting Kameron and D'Andra to be swapped, but I like D'Andra better anyway and Kameron is tall, so I guess it makes sense.

Jeff and his crew hate Heather b/c apparently Shannon or a mutual friend of their's was throwing a party. Heather was acting like a twat to the help, and Jeff and his crew were disgusted by her behavior. Just Heather being Heather--haughty, cold, and thinking she can walk on water.

Nene is her own worst enemy.

Of course Kandi had to pull her out after Nene made a terrible rape comment on stage. Kandi can’t mess with that. Nene shouldn’t be surprised. Nene will end this season having only one friend - Cynthia. And that may not even last because she’s dumped her in the past too.

THIS. What was Nene expecting? Especially after Kandi had to defend herself of the rape/drugging allegations last year. She took it seriously and frankly so should Nene. She's like so many HWs who feel that one insincere apology absolves them of accountability.

Haha well if Rinna has turned on Erika, that will certainly cement my feeling that Rinna will sell out anybody for airtime. That's entertaining up to a point, but it also erodes Rinna's credibility in anything she says and does. At least Kyle and LVP are consistent when it comes to the reasons why they stop being friends with other HWs -- or why they remain loyal to people.

I don't know what the argument is about but I feel a bit bad for Erika. Pride goes before a fall, so the saying goes. She puts up a wall and doesn't really trust people; by the same token, her intolerance of 'weakness' (the way she talked about her mother last season, who raised her alone, was shockingly harsh imo) and her lack of a sense of humor, is going to be problematic when it comes to BH where flexibility and a thick skin are required attributes. Nevertheless, I do feel bad that she got burned by Rinna as I do believe Erika actually has feelings. For Rinna, this is just a job.

    • You're probably right. They may have just wanted edits of certain characters. Hopefully the rest is around.
    • Of course!

I'm wondering if there were bits cut from this footage, because to me it seems that may be the case. At 11:23, Laurie tells her psychiatrist that the bar phoned and told her Mark got into a fight and needs to be picked up. It starts to fade to the next scene, you hear some different music begin and get cut off between the static, and where you'd expect to see the aftermath of the fight, we cut back to a later scene of Laurie in bed worrying about what's happening. The credits at the end also show that more than Mark, Laurie and Dr. Northcote should have been in this episode. Another character, Brody, played by Ed Setrakian, is mentioned but not shown. If this is the case, perhaps the original fan who saved this episode has the additional scenes.
    • Anyway… It’s a shame that the video that depicted Leticia’s death was removed from YT.

    • Ms. Phelps holds a BFA in directing from Carnegie Mellon University, awarded in 1972. At a time when women were underrepresented in directing programs, she was one of the few women in her graduating class. To suggest that she possessed no further talents than completely changing the style of music used on soaps seems like a vast underestimate when one reads her online biography through an objective lens. I guess that I should be more clever than to constantly blame misogyny for these misguided interpretations of her management style.  But, I'll never comprehend why fans unquestionably align their opinions even years after fact. Post-modernism, and the ability to reinterpret context through the study of history, seems to elude this conversation.

    • This is 100% correct.  It was even on the nightly news where the US Government would not let the cast and crew travel to Egypt because it was deemed not safe.  The Achille Lauro hijacking took place on October 7, 1985, when the Italian ocean liner MS Achille Lauro was hijacked by four men representing the Palestine Liberation Front off the coast of Egypt, as she was sailing from Alexandria to Ashdod, Israel. The location shoot was probably scheduled to be filmed in mid-October to air throughout November with a two week tape to air date.  Remember on the show they did some in studio scenes doubling for Egypt before shifting the action to Arizona.  It was an awkward end to a truly bizarre storyline.

New episode from late 1973 or early 1974!
    • Coronation Street had a very good story where one of the characters befriended a man who she later learned had been involved in her husband's death - when told right it can be very powerful (not like AMC trying to make it a romance). ATWT almost had a big fire in mid-1994, so this seemed to be a "thing" with P&G at the time. I guess it fits the disaster backstage atmosphere.
    •   @jmgaw did not refer to Luke and Laura. Throughout 78 GH's ratings continued to rise as AW's fell. That turnaround was getting a lot of attention in the soap press with Scotty/Laura, Rick/Leslie/Monica etc . So the 90 min decision was a reaction to that. I guess the thinking was that 60 min expansion had worked so starting AW a half hour before might keep viewers from switching to GH at 3pm. I don't think anybody really thought it would work. The most sensible solution would have been to expand The Doctors and hope for a GH like turnaround, but for reasons unknown TD never went to an hour.
