I haven't got around to watching Melbourne yet but am already disappointed that the main villain, Andrea, won't be back next year. It would be like Camille leaving BH after season 1. Granted Camille came back a totally different person, I'm not sure the same could be said about Andrea just based off of all the recaps I've read.

Andrea is NOTHING like Camille. Trust and believe. Camille spoke truth a lot of time and she was good vixen-like villainess. Andrea, on the other hand, is a miserable sow. She just created chaos and division just for the hell of it. She was intimidated by Gina IMO. Gina is the independent woman Andrea would want to be.

And she [Andrea] left because the fans came for her ass and she couldn't handle it. She was sure that the fans would be all for her, but they weren't. It ate at her that Gina, her adversary, was the breakout star.

The DC franchise is being rerun in the UK just now (for those who don't know, ITV2 run a two hour Housewives block every afternoon, repeated at 9.30am the following day, which has made the Housewives really popular over here now) and it really was a flawless series.

I say this as a huge Miami fan, but why Bravo gave DC the chop and renewed Miami after that HORRIBLE first season is beyond me.

The DC thing is ridiculous, but Bravo did attempt to give them a second season. The 4 ladies negotiated together and said they would NOT do the show if Michaele was on season two and thats was ultimately killed the show. I think that was foolish on Bravo's part, because despite the scandal, that hurt the show more than anything. Keeping Michaele would've also made it impossible to get ANYBODY to join the cast. They should've been willing to move on.

If you look back at that time the housewives franchise was at such a high and they made so many different mistakes which have ultimately derailed things. I hope they can make a turnaround for each of the series.

Miami season 1 wasn't originally a RH show and it showed (no pun intended). It was called Miami Social Club but was edited and reworked as a RH before it went to air. As a result, it was very choppy, inconsistent and not that good. Bravo didn't hold that against it, so when Andy came in and revamped it for season 2, it was produced as a proper RH series from beginning to end and the results were much better. I consider season 2, its first real season. S1 was a completely different beast.

I know you are in the UK but the DC scandal here was huge. The Salahi's crashing the White House was talked about for months and the response towards the show was extremely negative. I think Bravo just wanted to wipe their hands clean of it and move on. It made sense to me why Miami got a second season and DC didn't. With DC, they probably should have shelved it like NYC and come back to it later

IA with Chris, in that they should have just axed Michaele bc she want a star. IMO, she was the biggest turn off from that season and why I had trouble watching it. She was by far the fakest housewife ever and her interactions with the women were never genuine. It was hard to relate to her and she brought the series down. She should have been cut and gotten someone else without her baggage

Michaele and her husband are the biggest turn off for this franchise. I remember reading when it was first on in the US that suggested they literally faked everything to be on the show and portray an image of wealth that they just didn't have (maybe they would have fit better in the Atlanta version) using someone else's house etc. I have to wonder how it would have played out had we seen the original full first season before it all got cut to shreds and reworked following the White House scandal.

Do we know if Miami is definitely 100% done or is there a chance it could return?

I dont mind faking as I believe all do to a degree but Michaele was on a whole other level. I just couldnt take her in any capacity

I dont think Miami is officially done. If it were cancelled, I think they would have said so as they did with DC. I think its more on the lines of NYC, in that its on hiatus

date: Friday, May 2 | Teresa Zimmerman, Judy Tate | Steven Williford The drama-rama is drama'ing! This is juicier than the freshest of fresh peaches picked right from its home. Deadbeat, finally able to get his frustrations out physically on someone; instead of it being Bradley, it's Dana. I love the unraveling of Dana's names (Leslie, Sherry, Anna, et al.). It's juicy. And look at Dr Carlton, chiming in. I love the way Anita and Dani fled to Nicole's side, and then Vernon trying to excuse everyone but "immediate family" (and I am sure Mona as well) from the room. Dana is coming undone. She really is. Her numerous ways of pronouncing "Teddy" to everyone. Oh, Nicole's collapse into a furious Anita hearing "lover" coming from Dana's mouth. BILL KNOWS SOMETHING! His all-too-casual non-denial shows he knew about something concerning the affair, and of course the child bride wants to know what it is. Love that Shanice visited Vanessa; I wonder what kind of friendship they may actually have. Well, now we know Bill's involvement, AND the bombshell has been dropped: Eva is [supposedly] Ted's daughter he thought Dana aborted. "Smarty Marty". Whew. Good name for Deadbeat. I appreciate Dani's anger and hurt being focused into anger and love for Nicole. Dana swishing her way out of the main part of the country club to her closet was everything. A soap villain sashaying her way from the havoc she's wrecked. I appreciate that both Anita and Vernon are assuring Mona is not to blame in this. She's an innocent in this. But her looks to Eva? Those could cut like a butter knife. Douglas knows Vanessa has cheated and is continuing to cheat. ARE WE ABOUT TO GET KATHERINE VERSUS TED?! Oh, this is going to be even juicier than I could have ever asked for. CAN PEOPLE STOP SITTING ON TABLES! IT'S SO ANNOYING! Dana's little daydream of talking to Nicole was everything; that's the "crazy" (a.k.a., mental illness). Billy boy, it's time for your turn in the hot seat. Stop rubbing toes and get your ass to the main house. Not Dana showing up at the Dupree home. Oh, what does she have planned next?! Whew... chile. General notes: Trisha Mann-Grant (Dana) gave an empowered performance in today's episode. She commanded the set that day. This is an Emmy-worthy supporting performance. Ambyr Michelle (Eva) is one that has really shown in the past few episodes; she's another young star in the making. She embodies Eva in every single sense. She brings the scripts to life through her craft. Maurice Johnson (Ted) brought nothing. I'm not surprised he was recast at this point. Keith D. Robinson would have rocked these scenes and actually presented something to the table.
    • I agree!  I'm excited to see if Nicole forgives Ted, if Ted accepts Eva, if Kat accepts Eva, what happens with Leslie... if Martin's story will play into any of this...
    • I like that I don't know what direction they are going in next for this storyline. It's a great place to be for a fan like myself!
    • I am so appreciative of the camaraderie of watching BTG in real time with other posters here
    • not sure what the costume designer was trying to say about anita with that monstrosity of a necklace.
    • Me too - Andre is a nice guy and I love to see it.
    • I knew that scene wasn't real LOL. Dream sequence.

I like that Andre is being nice to her
    • Wait, was Nicole really there in that scene with Leslie or was she just talking to herself? Nicole vanished.
