Y&R: Week of March 22 Discussion

I had a nasty feeling that the "Blame Hope" bandwagon would be around the corner when Grambo mumbled to Adam when he was tied up in the cabin that he should never have "let" Hope raise Adam given the way he turned out. This show WANTS me to hate it!

And MethToria and ApeCheater are just UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Of course is Hope fault. Is this the new blame the woman. They have Billy blaming Jill for something. I still don't know what it is.

I didn't blame anybody but the writers.

When you lump all minority relationships together like they're interchangeable you are.

They can't even write an interracial relationship. Some white knight or White Knightress have to come and save the non black from their black love.

Which should tell you that interracial relationships are not & never have been their priority.

Minorities as props for White characters? Sure.

Minorities as equal & desirable as their White peers? Not a chance.

How can I make this black love work. I don't know anything about black love or interracial relationships.

They don't care.

TPTB & the fans have created & maintained the glass ceiling.

They want the status quo to remain just as it is.

Yeah, but this is Blame the Dead Blind Lady. Hope was not only a very morally grounded character, she could also stand up to Nikki (who was a total b!tch to her), Victor, Jack and anybody else. Just because she had lost her sight did not mean she was blind to people's true characters and motivations. Unfortunately, Hope is not around to defend herself -- and I somehow doubt that Grambo would have EVER said this to her face. Victor cared about what Hope thought of him.

What Y&R is telling me is that poor, weak, helpless (and possibly self-deluding) Hope raised a son -- mostly by herself -- for 25+ years... and she never once guessed that he was a soulless, lying psychopath? NO. Please. When you have a child and you love and raise that child, I am convinced you know that child better than he knows himself. Hope would have known if she was being played by her son. She would have guessed.

She herself told Victor when she was dying... that Adam was a lot like him, that he was desperate to prove himself in the financial world, but that he was a good kid. At the time, I thought she was absolutely right about her son.

Cause Methtoria & McCheater aren't a ringing endorsement for Grambo's parenting skills either.

Unfortunately he can always say, at least my 2 oldest never drove a woman crazy, caused her to miscarriage, or stole another woman's baby. Even with all of Adam's dirty deeds, I still like him better than his older siblings.

This is why I hated it when Y&R had Adam do all his nafarious deeds. It was like the writers forgot that he's not just Victor's son. He's also Hope's. They only drag Hope out when they need us to feel sorry for Adam.

Manly Man Billy will protect poor dithering Victoria from EVUL JT.

Thank God for that. JT's a crap father.

Okay, now that we have our cross dresser Micheal Grazaidei can move on with his career.

How Can I still be frustrated at this how's writing inconsistencies and impudence and I barely or rarely watch? Seems like I just need to seperate myself from Y&R completly

Is SH leaving the role of Emily/Patty this month? I don't get the rushing of her revealing herself.

Last year they had Victor blame Cliff, who died before Adam was out of diapers, for Adam's failings. Soon he will blame that stout woman who used to help Hope raise Adam. What was her name, Betty?

Victoria and Billy are both such lousy parents, I'm not surprised they've found each other. I just wish they'd go find something offcamera.

of course victor will blame everybody but himself. the show would never show dicktor as a bad father. MAB really does have to stop kissing the old goat ass.

Let's just hope that Victor doesn't blame the nurse that help deliver Adam. Because then we can mark MAB was a woman hate hack.

First they kill her off, then they try to destroy her character. sad.gif

Too bad that Shick got their baby back. The only person I'm feeling for in this baby switch is Ashley; it's such a shame she has lost another child. I can't feel anything for Victor because I can't remember the last time he spend anytime with Faith.

I guess the writers realized Patty is at her best when she's talking to an inanimate object.

The vast majority of the minorities on this show are dayplayers. Way to keep up the push for diversity program, CBS!

Indian cab driver? Brad did the same [!@#$%^&*] on B&B. Screw you, Maria!

^ Um...this is her first loss. This is Maria's show and this is the most innovative, original plot I've ever seen on a soap! By next year everyone will be losing babies. This show rocks. Chance/Chloe rock!!!
