Members Adam
Someone posted SOD spoilers on SoapCentral and Damon is in fact Tad's son.. How are they going to explain this timeline?
Members Jonathan
Maybe they hooked up off screen?
Members DRW50
Tad doesn't even raise the children who are actually with him, so why they gave him an adult son I don't know. I guess Jamie is even less likely to ever return. I assume we will get some sort of tension between Damon and JR. I hope they bring back Carmen Thomas for even a day or two if they're going to do this. Otherwise it's asking viewers to accept a whole lot of backstory with little to go on. Members alexisfan07
Yep, saw this one coming lol. I'm ok with this.
Members Kylie
Is Damon the right age at all...Jamie pre and post SORASing? Or is this just like Josh being born in '73 and being 25 in 2005?
Members You're Soaking in it
I hope they go with an off-screen affair, as it would be plausible. Tad could have hooked up with Hillary after his marriage to Dixie fell apart in 1996 (and Dixie left town with JR). Hillary was his first love, so it would make sense that he might turn to her... Members Southofnowhere
Just what the show needs another freaking Martin JERK!
Members Adam
That's the only logical explanation, and even that is a stretch. When would he have done this?
Members You're Soaking in it
See my post above ^^^ That would put Damon's age generally in-line with Colby's, too.
Members Adam
Yes, I just read it and its exactly what I was thinking.... and yes Carmen Thomas also has to come back (preferably long term) for this to have any hope in hell of working. Members dragonflies
Not surprised at all. This does sound like something Pratt would write though. I know it's a UO, but so far I'm not impressed with LB
Members You're Soaking in it
200% agreed: Exploring the relationship between Hillary and Tad would be THEE thing that would make this story interesting, even for viewers who didn't know her. Ignoring or glossing-over that aspect would be criminal, and probably turn "Damon as Tad's son" into a total failure. Not to mention, Carmen Thomas actually has genuine love-interest potential with MEK's Tad.... a factor that has bombed with pretty much every other actress except Cady McClain. Members You're Soaking in it
We all know Pratt wouldn't trouble himself with figuring out how to spell "Hillary," let alone learn the character's history.
Members Adam
Just like when Pratt first started he was writing stuff B&E would write and then B&E were writing stuff McTavish would write.
Members LeClerc
I think TPTB are going to resist actually bringing Hillary back, other than maybe an episode or two. Broderick may have been interested in more but Frons probably just saw it as a way to connect Damon to the canvas and isn't interested in some character from the 80s he knows nothing about. Same for Kreizman. Swajeski may be somewhat familiar with Hillary but I think Kreizman calls the shots in that pair, unfortunately.
