Members edgeofnik
So OLTL was last four of five days. Interesting. Great for World Turns. What's remarkable for DAYS is that several markets like Denver and St. Louis are showing it at 4 AM! I don't think that even qualifies it to count at Live + Same Day (think the cut-off is 3am). Too bad.

Members Soapsuds
There's nothing great about ATWT increase. Yes, they went up in every demo and viewers...even up from last year but their HH's numbers didnt budge. The whole Dante mess was a big bust for ATWT. Oddly, when the vets all appeared on ATWT minus Lucinda...the show had the highest HH number and total viewers. At least the ratings mean squat for ATWT now. It looks like it will remain last until its final week.
Members Saving ATWT
In other words, ATWT fans cluster? Did they measure the nusing homes this week?
Members NYC123
Good for AMC for not dropping that much and still being UP for the year. Down a bit in the Demos/Total Viewers. But that 2.4 is REALLY good to see. Also like Steve pointed out not dropping below 2.0 I bet people watched OLTL to see Stacey gone! I know I did! As much as I currently dislike ATWT I have to give them more credit. Not being last in the total viewers and being UP over 100,000 viewers year over year. Good for them. Not going down without a fight.
Members AllMyDaysatGH
GH keeps dippin' it low lowww, as it should.
Members edgeofnik
Not sure how it ends up last. Weren't they ahead of OLTL all but 1 day? It's pretty remarkable that the show still has so many viewers almost three months after cancellation announced. Thought more would defect -- like sadly me. Members Ann_SS
GH's demos are doing very well for sweeps. ABC must be thrilled to finally get some pay off after investing a ton of money in promotion.
Members PhoenixRising05
Actually, I think Toups posted the numbers from last winter Olympics and the show actually lose viewers then too but I think it had a similar situation as this year with the Monday preemption and schedule shifting in some areas. I actually think Days' viewer count in 2006was very similar to what it is now so that goes to show you how far Days has come in the past year. The only time in recent memory Days did extremely well during any Olympics was summer 2008 for that two week period.
Members marceline
I expected bigger drops for ABC after the snow stopped being a factor. I'm happy to see that AMC held on to its blizzard bump.
Members JackPeyton
in summer 088 wasnt days on at its normal time for the most part during the olympics? i know its been moved A LOT in most markets the past week.
Members Saving ATWT
World Turns still has a lot of life in the show. In the weeks just following cancellation, The show actually rose in the ratings and even managed to edge out GH in total viewers. ATWT is up over last year and there have been no defections. I think it is important to remember the the show came in at 4th place with a 2.4 for the 2007-2008 season, so not all that long ago, and only dropped when Goutman canned 5 major players in six months time and topped of the disaster with bad recasts and sloppy writing. World Turns could be saved and movc up into the number 4 or, at the worst, 5 slot with a little bit of effort and promo. GL crashed after cancellation because the show was a mess but the World is a different situation. If I ran nbc, I'd be looking at the steady ratings and see a good opportunity. Members fanOLTL
The problem with ATWT though is that it does not perform in the demos. It's last in Women 18-49, 18-34, and girls 12-17. I don't mean this to put the show down. I hope all the soaps survive and I recognize that every show ebbs and flows in terms of creativity. I just don't think at this point, ATWT will be saved. What OLTL should do, as it's the only NY soap that will be left, is get rid of unnecessary characters (Langston, Markko, Brody, Schuyler, with Kim, Rachel, Stacy and Mitch already gone) and hire about 5 popular ATWT actors. Best way to capitalize on the viewers who normally watched a different show at the same time and make those fans happy. I would love to Maura West on OLTL or Austin Peck recast as Joey Buchanan. As always, JMHO.
