OLTL Vet to DAYS

Soap Opera Digest has learned that Jessica Tuck, best known to daytime audiences for her portrayal of OLTL's Megan, has been cast as Chad's (Casey Jon Deidrick) mother. She will first air April 7.

My guess is this is a short term role. I can't see room on the canvas to make Chad's mother a contract role. Plus Tuck probably doesn't want a long term soap stint right now.

I agree this has to be short term, although I can't wait to see her. I like Chad, or at least I did when I was watching on a more regular basis a few months ago. But Jessica Tuck married to the neighbor from Empty Nest?

Never watch OLTL but I did like her in Judging Amy. I really haven't seen her in anything since that show went off the air aside from a CSI episode or two.

I actually had hoped that Chad would turn out to be Carly's kid last fall.

I'm disappointed that Jessica Tuck is back on the soaps. I thought that her role on True Blood would have given her more opportunities in prime time. She is insanely talented. Days is lucky to have her and should try to keep her.

Congrats to Days on the wonderful Actress, but they should be casting some out of town Hortons.

Chad is my favorite teen, so I am glad they are trying to invest some story in him before he falls of the radar completely. Jessica Tuck I like, and David Leisure I like, but the idea of Megan Gordon married to Joe Isuzu just is too much. This is such a weird casting decision. Anyway, anything which gets Chad out front rather than deadly dull Mia is ok by me.

More than likely, Jessica Tuck's doing this as a "favor" to Gary Tomlin, since they worked together @ OLTL and SUNSET BEACH.

Good. I want to know more about Chad.

Days has been doing great with short term roles. They people they bring in dont overtake the show. They are not at the center of a storyline. They pretty much just add to the story. Perhaps this can turn recurring like his father. Tho Days recurring pretty much works like contract. Justin, Anna, Faye, Will...

Who did Tuck play on Beach?

Is it just me, though, or could I see her hooking up w/ boring old Roman Brady?
