But Mark doesn't hate him... he sees flowery, orchestrical, tragic potential in the character!

I visit twitter one time & I wasl ike what the hell & it was unrelated to MM. But I was just going by what other people said about him explain how the scene suppose to be. & what people saw on their screen.

Who killed Adam has to be coming, it was predictable since the baby switch and having Sharon&Ash both being unstable mentally.

Too bad, great actor but the writing screwed that character over. Adam being a Newman should have given him ties and incorported him into the cast like Billy or even Nick.

Heck Cane too. Yet they trashed the character and potential the character had.

Peace out. Overrated and written in a corner. Makes me sick to see everyone getting upset that he needs to go. Yes David Kimble and Tricia Dennison and Sheila Carter were good, but they had to go. Imagine how much it would've cheapened the show if they all remained and Mary J Mason and Cameron too, all redeemed. I'm sick of this trend with Jana, Kevin, Patty and now Adam. It's hard to get invested when you know they'll retcon everything to suit their needs.

I also have to laugh at Muhney's tweets like he's so indemand. Yes he's going in for auditions for lead role on this show and that show, but that doesn't mean he'll get it. 50 other guys are auditioning for the same role. At best he'll get a supporting role.

Couldn't be be auditioning in the hopes of leaving, kind of like Tyler Christopher a couple of years ago? I get the feeling MM does not really enjoy being a soap actor.

I've seen a lot of MM hate on so many different message boards that it makes me cringe. Sorry to see that so many people hate Adam and wants him AND MM gone! MM was one of the best to be brought on in a long time. His version of Adam quickly won me over and made me forget all about CE! MM made Adam his own! We've seen despicable characters do despicable things on this show many times before but I don't think people had quite the reaction about that as they do about what Adam has done. Interesting, because I still think that a lot of the hate comes from Adam not being played by CE. CE fans still miss him and have turned on MM as a result! Whatever the case, it should be remembered that CE CHOSE to walk away!

I think part of it is who is doing all the despicable things. If it's Shelia or someone who is a known psycho, I think people have more tolerance to see that story played out. When it was Gloria, people were pretty outraged and wanted to see her pay. I think it comes down to people not wanting to see people get away with their crimes.

Also, in Adam's case, they really took a sharp turn with the character. One second it looks like he's going to be a smart business rival to Nick and Victoria, next we know he's terrorizing a pregnant woman, playing games with Rafe and Heather's affections to get away with it and letting the so called love of his life think her baby is dead.

Obviously, I like Michael Muhney a lot, but there are very few people who can make this kind of character work long term and Y&R isn't giving him the tools to do that. There isn't that one person that Adam truly loves and won't screw over. Sharon sure doesn't count, since he's making her live her greatest nightmare all over again.

CE was much more appreciated by ME. Sorry. I just never felt Muhney's version, ever. It just didn't connect for me. CE was well on his way for me, I felt like I was being led towards something (I had just hoped it wasn't this garbage)

I think that was inevitable.

I mean once this storyline is over, there will be no place left for him on the canvas. I mean, he has not friends other than Sharon and Ashley. Neither of them will want anything to do with him after this comes out...

Keeping him on the show would make him a much more demented and perv version of GH's Ethan. I mean, after the whole Holly/Luke lovechild reveal was over, Ethan is just kind of THERE. No one hates him, but he doesn't serve much purpose.

Adam would be the same way, but he would be completely unable to be reedeemed, and everyone would hate him. Maybe in a few years, he will come back, and all will be forgotten. But right now, it's inevitable.

I loved CE, loved him!! But I think I have already figured out why they got rid of him...and yes I said , "got rid of him". MM is growing on me a bit, a little bit too late of course, but hopefully not that late LOL!!!
