Toups, please lol. You need to re-watch it. That was entirely diva-ish and put upon by Rachel. There were no tears. That was a Tiara and Toddlers meltdown if I've ever seen one. And like I said, if it was Astro nobody would be shedding a tear, young or not. So many double standards. And go back and listen to how she talked to her mom after her "breakdown." The entire thing was childish and silly, not sad IMO.

The difference is Astro didn't want to sing for survival. He thought he was above it all. He was pissed off at the fans and the show. He alienated the audience...Rachel did none of that.

Rachel was so shocked because she didn't believe there was any way it was possible she'd go home. Just like stupid Nicole who thought the same thing and everybody else who was shocked that no one voted for her. If everybody got out of this hyperbole and re-watched her performances you'd see the writing was on the wall. She easily should've been the lowest vote getter based on her performances that week.

The reason I felt more sympathy for Astro is because he actually had genuine tears and seemed more hurt than anything. It wasn't a cocky reaction, but one of shock and disappointment because he was working hard and didn't feel loved or appreciated. I saw his point of view. Granted, both reactions were immature, but at least Astro was real.

I just saw a clip of that girl Rachel having a meltdown on tv and I cant bleive she did that. She's too old for that and a part of it seemed overexagerated to me. I didnt feel sympathy for her. I was very turned off

I never really liked Rachel, but in the singoff she was amazing. I was hoping she would go out and she did. She was so sure she would stay and than she had the lowest number of votes and was out. Her meltdown seemed so fake and over the top to me, she cried, than talk very controled and than she cried again, I think it was all a show, she was fake from the begining. She did know exactly what she did and all her "I love you's" were fake too. It is really sad to talk like that about a 14 y.o. but something with her was really off. I loved what Nicole did, and yes she is the worst judge. I loved that Simon lost someone again, He is always so high and mighty, I used to like him very much.

I hope Chris Rene wins, he is amazing and very special.

That deserves a, "Come on, man!" She's a 13 year old girl whose dreams was crushed on national live television. You think she faked that? Wow.

If Nicole wanted to keep Marcus, she should've just said she thought Marcus was better, but she didn't. It was obvious she thought Rachel was better but since she's so tight with Marcus, she wussed out.

Toups, her breakdown was hardly convincing. It was like watching Charity Rahmer. She only cried/reacted when the camera was directly on her. She was playing the part for pity.

Right, cause she knew exactly when the cameras where on her in all that hysteria and people on stage? Camera's on me? Cry!! Camera's not on me? Don't cry!!! Camera's on me now??? Oh, I better cry!!! She had the ability to collapse on the stage, look at the monitors, start crying, look out for the camera men to see if they're shooting her, shriek some more, then look for cameras that have the right light so she can know what camera is on, then cry some more with her mom. She's able to do all that at the age of 13 years old. Bravo, Rachel Crow, Bravo!

Come on. LOL

Paula encouraged the deadlock! I was wondering what she was saying to Nicole.

The whole thing was fake. I don't watch the show but this was reported in the news so I sought it out on youtube. Here is how you know it is fake: How did they host know to save this indecisive judge for last and how did he know she would throw it into a so-called deadlock? And how come the previous three split so perfectly setting her up? And if it was truly spontaneous what did the show have planned for the final seven minutes if there was no hysterics? The answers seems obviously the whole incident was budgeted into their time before the show even started.

This is the same judge who made me quit the show during their auditions when she had another supposed moment of indecision and it was obvious she was going to send the contestant through to the applause and dramatic music of this scripted show, she did after five minutes of pretending she wasn't sure, and I never turned it on again.

And for a show that claimed to be about all ages and acts, there sure seems to be a lot of child singers.

That was such a boring semi-final. It's weird to compare that to the UK semi-final I saw two weeks ago. There was no energy and I'm not seeing a journey for any of these contestants. The UK show felt so competitive. All four semi-finalists could've won that show easily and the majority would be happy. Here I can see either Chris, Josh or Melanie winning, but I doubt anybody will care. I see this being forgotten long before any of them release anything.

Still curious about the final plans. I wanna know who the duets are and the special guests.

Marcus' exit was pure class. I wish him the best in the future. He carried himself so well that he should be used as a template for many of these contestants. Now we're onto the sure-to-be-dull finale. I find it hilarious the ratings get lower as the talent should be getting stronger. This is a generic American Idol-esque final three with three mediocre, contrived singers nobody will remember in six months. The excuse of too many singing competitions doesn't fly either because the UK is so much smaller yet still delivers and also has tons of reality shows. I'm kinda excited to see who will duet with the contestants just to see how bootleg this finale ends up being.

I just wish all the people watching this could see just one or two episodes from the UK show this year. Better judges, better contestants, more diversity, better staging (*so* happy Brian Friedman went to stink up the US show lol), better guests, etc. It's just such a superior production. And to think the UK people were worried all the quality would go to the US show and the UK show would falter.
