Members Chris B
Yes Scott had his fault, but besides that huge ego, didn't most of that stuff happen at DAYS? Considering he was dealing with someone like Dena Higley, a messy writers strike and Ken Corday, I don't know that I'd hold that against him. I'm sure there was much wrong to go around. I don't necessarily think that behavior would follow him. Now the huge ego? Of course, but didn't the DAYS cast often speak highly of him? He was on set all the time so surely the Y&R/DAYS casts would despise him if he was truly a demon.
Members Sylph
From his Y&R days. That's when he displayed it. Furthermore, I don't think he would make a fantastic team with LB. I might be wrong.
Members LeClerc
Keith McClean was McTavish's creation, the ADA who prosecuted Brooke after Jackson took himself off the case. The guy who was supposed to end up being Palmer's son was Miles Christopher, who Broderick added near the end of her run. IIRC he was an executive at TransGlobal airlines that Mateo went around pointing his finger alot and who started dating Belinda. McTavish ditched him asap. Miles was an extremely dull character but I was definitely interested when it was hinted there was a connection to Palmer. I guess that, since he was to be Palmer's son and he was Adam's employee, he would have been pivotal in the renewed Palmer/Adam feud Broderick wanted. Members DRW50
Thanks LeClerc. I guess I got the two men mixed up in my head because they were one right after the other. For some reason I thought Miles had been recast. I think the guy who played Miles had been on Oz not long before then, as an undercover cop who was killed (?). He was very good. Members Sylph
The article about Behr & Broderick Y&RWorldTurner posted: Student-created soap opera begins filming and production. I can't find about Behr beinga consultant for a major film studio. Perhaps this is a different incarnation of the same news.
Members Chris B
He may not make a good team with Broderick, but we still don't know if she's the final HW. Now that you mention it, all the Y&R drama is coming back to me.
Members Sylph
Don't get me wrong, I'd really love it if someone turned this show into a visual delight and changed everything: sets, costumes, lighting... Then took care of the casting. And as long as Ed Scott does that, he might work. This how, if Julie stays, any effort at renewing the core of the show, might end up bombing. Members R Sinclair
Oh, yes. Miles Christopher. He was played by Roger Guenveur Smith. He's a fantastic actor that's appeared in nearly all of Spike Lee's movies in some form or fashion. But even without that, he has a huge resume. I was surprised, quite frankly, he was cast on a soap. He had been a successful working character actor in film and primetime, working every year up until AMC. I think he was going to be in a relationship with Belinda Keefer, but McTavish got rid of Christopher and hooked her up with the love of my life Adrian Sword. Members ghfan89
WW would be ideal. I still believe AMC hasn't been the same since the time he left in 1992 around the time of the Will Cortlandt murder. I believe that's where the downfall of AMC started. 1970 to 1983 Agnes Nixon 1983 to 1986 Wisner Washam 1986 to 1987 Wisner Washam & Lorraine Broderick 1987 to 1988 Lorraine Broderick 1988 to 1989 Wisner Washam & Margaret DePriest 1989 to July 1992 Wisner Washam & Agnes Nixon July 1992 to June 1995 Megan McTavish and Agnes Nixon June 1995-October 1995 Agnes Nixon October 1995 to 1996 Lorraine Broderick 1996 Lorraine Broderick and Millie Taggart 1996-December 1997 Lorraine Broderick December 1997 to June 1999 Megan McTavish
Members David_Vickers
Great news!!! Chuck Pratt was horrible, but the previous writers were worse. Lorraine Broderick is one of AMC's best all-time writers IMHO. Hopefully LB will rehire Julia Barr(Brooke), who seemed to be one of her faves, as well as Walt Willey(Jackson) and maybe others, maybe bring Bianca back with a new actress in the role since it does seem Eden Riegel seems unwilling to sign a long-term deal. I also hope for a return of maybe Tara(Karen Lyn Gorney or maybe someone like Deidre Hall or LeAnn Hunely), Marian(Jennifer Bassey),Jamie(Justin Breuning or a great re-cast a la the rumored Greg Vaughan(ex-Lucky, GH), Laura(likely a recast), a recast for Randi and Greg(Laurance Lau) too. Hopefully keep Daniel Kennedy(Pete) and fire Stephanie Gatschet(Madison) and Britanny Allen(Marissa, re-cast!, maybe with Marcy Rylan or Rachel Melvin). Sara Bibel either must think Jamie Luner, who's 38, is much younger than she is, or that Marcy Walker(ex-Liza) is much older than she is (45). There's only 7 years difference in the 2 women's ages not 20 as Bibel states. I think Luner would've been more suited for a recast Skye Chandler, but Jamie has grown on me as Liza and I hope she is NOT axed.

Members LoyaltoAMC
I'm going to be very anal, but a few corrections to your list. Wisner Washam joined the HW team circa 1976. I'm sure Agnes was still heavily involved in the writing, but Washam was listed as sole HW in the credits beginning in 1976/1977 through the fall of 1986, when he'd be joined by a promoted Lorraine. Also, Lorraine's first stint as solo writer lasted from 1987 to spring 1989. Washam left completely in 1987, handing over the reins to Lorraine. He never wrote with Margaret DePriest. DePriest wrote from spring 1989 through very early 1990 (with Lorraine being demoted to associate HW at the time). DePriest was brought in by Felicia Behr, who'd replaced Steve Schenkel as EP in spring of 1989. Washam would return in early 1990 as co-HW with Lorraine and Megan, with Agnes leading the pack. Also, I believe that Lorraine and Victor Miller very briefly were co-HWs together from early 1989 through the spring of that year. Can anyone confirm that? Members Jonathan
So why haven't we heard anything official? Is it customary for ABC to send out a release about a firing or a transition head writer? I can't recall.
