I want a countdown clock to when Pratt's crap is off the air.

Good idea. I'm sure we can imbed one here or like to one.

Ryan & Liza.

Ugh!

That was Passanante, wasn't it?

I didn't mind the everyone's related to Leo bit so much as I minded Greenlee constantly shrieking about Paris and generally just...shrieking all the time. The only time there seemed to be a bit more variety was when she was with Jake.

I liked Trey, I thought he could have had years of good story ahead. I wish they hadn't done the arson, and then the quick writeout, never to be mentioned again. The whole thing left a very bad taste.

Considering it's Nelson, take it for what it's worth:

American Thanksgiving came early. Soap fans partied all weekend with the news that head writer Chuck Pratt had been let go from AMC just as the 40-year-old sudser was taping their anniversary episodes to air on Jan. 4 and 5. When Soapoperadigest.com confirmed the news on the ouster heard around the daytime world, the AMC cast was reportedly stunned. “No one had a clue,” says one cast member. An ABC insider reveals that Brian Frons gave the maligned and controversial scribe three months to shape up or get out. “Fans were upset, but most importantly, certain high-level stars were furious over the material they had to act out, including the most vocal actor, Susan Lucci,” says the mole. According to daytimeconfidential.com, beloved soap scribe — and former AMC writer — Lorraine Broderick will step in for Pratt during the transition until ABC finds a new head writer (funny since Ilene Kristen and I were just asking why a sudser hasn’t employed Broderick in our interview this past Thursday). Expect Pratt’s material to air well into the new year so don’t bother tuning in until all traces of the hack are gone.

Oh. No juvenile digs at calling it the worst show in the history of daytime drama ever to make its way to a television screen? I guess it takes a hack (gagging on the word) to know a hack (gagging again).

I wonder if Lucci's complaints would be with the awful "let's gaslight Adam into a heart attack" story.

I believe Lucci can be vocal behind the scenes, but she's pc when it comes to media attention.

Yeah I can't remember her speaking out in the press in recent years

She never said a word about Josh. Not once, after the original reveal. I always thought that spoke louder then any praise she could have offered.

If she was unhappy, I wonder if she felt the same way about Ryan/Erica as the fans did and let it rip behind the scenes? Or maybe it was the Adam stuff. Whatever it was, I'm glad she and others said whatever it was they said. :)

Ugh. I was surprised he didn't try to spin it harder that it was his doing that got Pratt fired. He still had to go in that we should stillboycott the show until "well into the new year" -- Come on. I know my soap is a mess right now but I resent a member of the "soap press" trying to get it boycotted in such a childish way and I firmly believe his actions played no part in Pratt being gone (truth be told Nelson has never been much of an AMC fan and he's admitted it wasn't one of the soaps he grew up with)

Carl I liked Trey too(nice to see him on Mad Men)--I thought Liza and Ryan was Passanante as well? i KNOW that Ryan and Opal was Passanante (LOL!)

Ryan and Liza was indeed Passanante. After she had Gillian shot in the head and had the turret burned down, that's when Ryan and Liza found each other and had grief sex -- which started Ryan's trend of getting hard every time a woman he loves dies and sleeping with married women as part of his grieving process.

Ugh. Didn't they do the nasty outside once...like, on the ground, in sand? Please tell me I'm making this up...

I think they did. They also did something on his boat didn't they? Then that ended very quickly so he could get together with Mia.
