Let's face it, Shamar is a nearly impossible act to follow. I'll give this guy a chance and see how it works out.

I think he can act. But it would be hard to take him being a father to CKLily. They look around the same age. Or they going to de-age her more. She already act 16.

I don't even know if the actor matters, if the commitment is not there. Shemar was one of a kind but he has not really been around since 2003 or so, minus the brief return a few years later. The role could be recast. But if they don't commit, then viewers won't either.

This team is terrible at recasting, so I have no reason to believe they have improved.

Even if he's decent in the role (which I do have reservations about), I'm sure the writing will more than be awful. We've seen the way this writing team writes for minority characters...

God, Y&R is just awful, I hope he's at least decent and can rise above awful writing (because you know that will be the case)...

Man I used to loved that show and don't forget the Boy Meets Wolrd dad coming on already. Susan Summers is an idea for recast Nikki as well if TPTB ends up looking
